Yes. I've been arrested for drug posession, outstanding warrants from motor vehicle infractions, and drunk driving (just once, won't let it happen again).

How about you?

twice, both for assault (once I hit a girl in the head with a roller skate, and the other I bit my principal) I only actually got charged with the roller skate incident, and worked community service to get a clean record.

No. On the one hand, this is obviously a good thing. On the other, I can't help but feeling that it's a little bit boring of me. I had a friend at uni who had been arrested six times at protests against capitalism, and had even been deported from Italy. While I disagreed with her politics, I couldn't help but admire her commitment to her beliefs.

I was taken into police custody for swimming naked on a public beach (Thatcher's Britian  ). The cops never said they were officially arresting me or anything though, and they let me go once straight away once the van got back to North Shields nick.

If anything, they thought it was pretty funny too. I think it was more just that there were some angry residents making phone calls about it. Though they did threaten me with serious reprisals if I did it again.

I've almost been arrested a few times as well. Twice because the guy I had beaten up was such a well-known scumbag the cops probably just didn't think it was worth messing with the paperwork.

Proceeded on down the hall gettin more injections, inspections,
detections, neglections and all kinds of stuff that they was doin' to me
at the thing there, and I was there for two hours, three hours, four
hours, I was there for a long time going through all kinds of mean nasty
ugly things and I was just having a tough time there, and they was
inspecting, injecting every single part of me, and they was leaving no
part untouched. Proceeded through, and when I finally came to the see the
last man, I walked in, walked in sat down after a whole big thing there,
and I walked up and said, "What do you want?" He said, "Kid, we only got
one question. Have you ever been arrested?"

I'v been arrested at a friends house when a search warrant was served, but it was only until the search was finished, and I was let go with no charges/no ride to the cop shop, just detained during it. I wasnt invovled in the activities that the warrant was for.

I'v done a few 494 (citizens) arrests as a security officer too, all for assault or tresspass or shoplift.

Yep, once in Mexico cause they found a gun in our motorhome after a traffic stop. They arrested all six of us btw. Four other times was detained but not officially arrested for anything. Once in Oregon due to a fight a buddy of mine had with another guy. Again it was a group detainment. Once in Portugal of a road rage incident. Not me but the nut case driving the other car. Was let go after someone interpeted what I was saying. Was also detained for a short time on the Canadian/US border for bringing Cuban cigars over. Sounds stupid doesnt it... Also in the UK for burning about a dozen red lights in Leeds. Was having a bit of fun with the gf and there was no traffic. Also didn't stop for about a mile or two....

In fact, yes I have.

Driving while License suspended.
Its a misdemeanor, and an arrestable offence.

Was driving my moms car home from work one night, and she had a broken tail light.
I went past my home, becuase there was a good song on the tape player, and I wanted to hear it, so I went around the block.

I get pulled over, and was given a "fix-it" ticket.

Being as it was not my car, I assumed (wrongly) that it was her responsibilty to take care of the incident.
In the US, if you are issued a ticket, and do not admit guilt, or pay the fine, or fight the ticket, your license is suspended.

Little did I know...

Well, two weeks later I myself, had a broken tail light, and was pulled over while driving my van.
The cop takes my information, and a few moments later, comes back and says:

Cop:"Mr. ---------, did you know your license has been suspended?"

Me: (jaw drops) "Uh...no. Whats this mean?"

Cop: "Well, sir, its a misdemeanor, and it means you have to come downtown with me."

Me (shocked) "You mean, like, to jail?"

Cop: (laughing) "Im afraid so, sir."

Going to jail sucks, big time.
The very worst part was calling my mother from jail, and having to ask her to bail me out.

I felt very proud of myself.

Then she says she didnt have the money, and had to borrow it from my grandparents.

Feeling WAY cool, at this point.

All in all, I spent 11 1/2 hours in there, and ended up paying several hundred dollars to get my van out of impound, and for some reason, it took over a year to get my license re-instated, and all the damn fines paid off.

All for a broken tail light.

Same thing he based his judgement of me on. Nothing. Or maybe it's based on that quote of his that it's sometimes ok to torture kids. Take your pick.

They put kindergarten-aged children in detention? Surely there a bit young for that. Not letting them play with the toys would be fairer.

Wait, that's a lie.

I got detention alot more than once.

It was great, you would sit in school on a Saturday morning and wind up whatever poor teacher had had to sacrifice their lie in.

Oh, the teacher who put me (and a friend, mind) in detention was missing a few buttons. It was funny, though. When I got in the detention center, a lot of other kids I knew were in there (they were three to four years older than me). I didn't have a bad time for the ten minutes I was there, to say the least. :p

Everything got sorted out, though. I got that detention mark taken off of my record. Now, will I get arrested in the future? I dunno... Depends on how harsh the government gets. :D

I've been picked up by police a few times, but I don't think I've ever officially been 'arrested'.

I was picked up and driven home when I was twelve for tossing eggs off an overpass onto passing cars. I was also picked up and driven home one night when I was twenty because I was naked. It was 2:00 am and I was trying to get home. The police were kind enough to give me a ride and wake my parents up to let them know I was home safely and naked. Rather than sneaking in unnoticed. Very kind of them. :p
