Best Political Symbols

Which do you think is the coolest symbol used by an ideology or political movement?

I'll start with two that have fascinated me:

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/c8/Amagi.png
Very mysterious, yet profoundly meaningful.

and

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/7/75/Libertatis_Aequilibritas_GFDL.jpg/150px-Libertatis_Aequilibritas_GFDL.jpg
Just neat. A classic.

Which leads me to think that the Anarcho-Capitalists are in front when it comes to symbolism.

I've always been partial to the hammer and sickle.

I think there is a serious correlation, "the more crazy the ideology the better the symbol" - eg - Anarcho capitalism, Fascism, Nazis

Well, ive always been fond of the Imperial Eagle and the flowing red banners with swastikas on them.

Not strictly speaking ideological, I also like some of the Masonic imagery

I also like the Zapatista's black flag with the red star. And the Red Army Faction had a cool logo.

Hammer and Sickle is great. The DDR version (hammer, sickle and compass) was even better, from a symbolic point of view, too bad it was used by the DDR.

Red flag is also great, from a symbolic pov.

Columbus with the olive thingie in its beak is nice too.

Hammer and sickle directly refers to the last part of the Internationale song, which is from Paris' Commune. So not, it's not a bloshevik-leninist symbol, but one from before.

Think it's meant to be hanging the white pride sign...
I'm quite a fan of the anarcho-communist flag - simple red and black. Would look good as a star too. Or something like the Zapatistas.
What is that very first symbol? The scratchy arrow thing?

Note the central position of one of the most recognizable symbols of the American state ("$") in that second image. Interesting choice for a bunch of "anarchists."

Edit: I like the symbolism incorporating the eagle, as for instance in the Great Seal of the United States (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Great_Seal_of_the_US.png). Especially with the combination of meanings between the olive branches and arrows. And besides, birds of prey (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bird_of_prey) are really neat:

The only time I have ever seen the "Libertatis Æquilibritas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Libertatis_Aequilibritas_silver.jpg)" used by a group was here on NationStates during one of the General "elections." And even then, I think it was the Classic Liberals (not "anarchist" of any sort).

shit, has anyone ever seen a group of anarcho-capitalists in general?

Of course not. A "group" is a collection of people. Collectives are for evil pinko commies.

but seriously. i'm something of a connoisseur of anarcho-capitalists and i've seen the dollar sign symbol on perhaps 3 websites, counting the wiki article (and the other two are run by the same guy).

It's such a ridiculous, illogical ideology. How can you have money and private property without government???

They think you can... Probably because of the common usage of anarchy to mean anomie or chaos. After all, without any form of society, you can take what you want and screw the rest. Also, don't you mean the state more than the government?
