So it's 3:30am and I'm home alone, which is probably the thing I hate most in the entire world because it means I get freaked out and can't sleep :(

So...anyone else suffering from insomnia tonight? Anyone fancy giving me a hug? :(

Are you by any chance dreaming about rabbits? Last night I was reading Watership Down right before I went to bed. Dreamed about rabbits; kept on waking up.

Watch "Through Hell and High Water" in about 5 mins on BBC1. It's quite good, but it's enough to send you to sleep.

I might dream about rabbits, if I could actually sleep.

I was watching Family Guy, maybe that was my downfall...

Heh, I have a standing prescription for Ambien, so I never have to worry about my insomnia getting the best of me :D.

Make a list of all the members of the US Senate, then imagine killing them off alphabetically with a different method for each that matches their initials.

Rasselas, would pie help you sleep?

*hands Rasselas a slice of pie*

If not you can eat it when you wake up! :)

When you can't sleep you have more time than you want. Doing something repetitive and bystematic will usually make me too bored to stay awake.

usually I just read until my eyelids are heavy, though. Almost done the Malloreon, currently.

I'm not a lad! *sulks*

I think I'm gonna take Nadkors advice and watch something that'll send me to sleep. And if that fails...I'll see you in an hour or so :P

Also, thank you for the pie. It's much appreciated :p

Also, anouther word of advice, don't think about zombies. The thought of them keeps me up all night.

You could also try listening to Philip Glass... turning on the wireless or television, which would make you think there was someone else in the house... or, yeah, just reading, which will eventually tire you out.

Anyway, on this topic, I'm heading to bed. 'Night all.

Definitely get some Glass. Get the collaboration album he did with Ravi Shankar, "Passages". It's like a lullabye for desert wanderers.

Okay...this is totally off topic...but I LOVE DAVID EDDINGS! The Belgariad and the Malloreon especially.

All right. Now that I feel like a total dork, I'll disappear into the shadows again.

Try playing Civilization; Play the World.

or - - -

Something that worked when I was in college - do homework, greatest sleep aid in the world - never failed (to go to sleep, that is).

Thackerey and Dickens are also great sleep aids.

For the future buy a copy of An Ideal Husband. Anytime you get insomnia, pop that in. Should send you to sleep within the first 20 minutes.
