Um, yes. I'd love to have a Soviet-style tyrant who almost started an all out nuclear war between the "east"[aka commies] and "west" deciding the fate of around 300 million people who support ideals he despices. It's much better than any of the MUCH more competent and sane leaders we had before.

I voted for Mr. Other, because I quite like his policies on what to do about taxes (he would set the rates to a level that no one has ever thought of before), immigration (he plans to do something to immigrants that is, as of yet, unspecified and could range from killing them to giving them free suits), and Iraq (where he is keeping his plans secret until the moment before he strikes).
I also think that his running mate, Ms. Anonymous, is a strong addition to the ticket, as well as offering the position of VP to a woman (you gotta start somewhere with equal rights).

Depend who the other is.

Castro is not the worst leader of the world, but he's far from perfect. I would prefer Castro to any right-wing nut like Bush, but I would prefer a candidate from the real left who is more intro democracy and rights than Castro. Someone like Kucinih (sp ?) maybe. Or an Allende-like president, even if that's rare in USA.

I am very happy that my other thread, Fidel Castro, George W Bush for USA President ? has done so well, no matter what the results. that is your right in a free nation.

Lets see if we can get the votes up on this thread this time around, the choices are Fidel or Other, you can vote for other and post your others, or you can vote for Fidel.

You can compare Fidel with the Others if you wish too.

Notice that I gave Americans, Canadians, Europeans, Australians, and Others thier own place in the poll, I would have included one for the New Zealanders if I had 12 options, since most of us are from these nations, I chose Australians because it has a higher population, no offense ment to the New Zealanders.

Well, we got the voting up from11 to 31 the second time around, very happy and content my thread has done that much.

La Habana Cuba NS Elections Counci President updated observations. Based on 31 NS Citizens voting.

It looks like the thread has preatty much run its course, even though technically its an open time poll as most of my public polls are.

Public election polls in this case are acceptable because this is the NS world after all not the real world were the vote should be private.

I am very happy that my thread had such a good response,
remember that no matter who you vote for and what the results may be, voting is your right in a free nation, with all its faults and virtues.

Of diffrent political partys, offering diffrent economic and social points of views.

No matter how corrupt a party or indivisual member may be, there is always an election process to change it around in free political nations.

If I had had 12 options I would have included a place for the New Zealanders, as most of us come from these nations, I choose Australia because it has a higher population, I know its not fair in that sense, but no offense ment to the New Zealanders.

All regions possible were represented and is interesting to see the regional diffrences in any such polls.

Australians 04 12.90

Totals 31 NS Citizens voters.

Remember the poll is technically an open time poll.

You may now discuss the diffrences and similarities in the results by regions, who is more apart to whom and who is closer to whom and such.

And any other views and comments you may have.

I have enjoyed my RP as NS Elections Council President,
I would like to make it official, LOL and I am not LOL about it, more as in serious.

Cuba's Funniest Home Videos- they could win $10,000.00 if the person that took that film submitted it.

yes it would be nice to see that video of Castro stumling off the stage agian.

But if the person that took that film submitted it, he should try to come in a raft, inner tube, floating cars, trucks and taxis across 90 miles of shark infested waters, before Fidel gets to him, LOL, but who is LOL, is serious.

He better make sure he has a quick and safe way out of Cuba fast.

See the diffrences with our nations of origin is we can make fun of our presidents, prime ministers and other main leaders, on the internet, and the media, but not in Cuba.

On the othe hand to be fair, Cubans in Cuba do make jokes about Fidel and such, but among themselves not in the media and not on a site like Nationstates., which would not even be allowed for us to share our diffrent political, economic and social views, jokes and such.

the point I am trying to make and tried to make on my other Fidel, Bush, President thread in a not intentional harch way is.

Fidel's nature is a nature of a dictatorship personality.

All I can say to the Fidellista voters is, that would be the last free elections you all would be able to vote in for the rest of your lifes, if fidel could find away to stay in power, he would.

you would live happy under Fidel for life, like it or not.

Yes, unlike anything you may see in Bush as a dictator.

Bush will be gone in a few years, he will step down, leave office when the term expires, if Fidel dosent die by then, he will still be dictator for life, that is a point I am trying to make, Fidel's undermocratic nature.

Yust look at the recent Italian elections, and the 2006 political climate in the USA, were the Republicans may loose control of the house of Representatives and maybe even the senate and compare that to Fidel and Cuba's one party state were our diffrent economic, political and social views would not be allowed to be represented in the Cuban National Assembly or any other level of government.

In Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the EU, coalitions of Socialist, Christian Democrats, Social, Socialist Democrats, Greens, Conservatives, Democrats and Republicans govern.

Somewhere in there my views and your views are represented and respected, that is the diffrence.

Now compare that to Cuba, one leader, one party state.

Just look at his intransigent nature in Cuba on political democratic reforms like we have in our nations of origin
or adopted nation in my case.

Over 47 years and counting as dictator for life.

I hope I have proven at least that much.

Yes, and Mexico too is a bloody dictatorship. And so is every country where people dream of going to the Western World because they are poor. And, as we all know, an embargo should improve a nation's economy, and not offer an excuse to the countries which fall into that definition, but actually have a dirigiste system etc etc.

It is extremely risque and highly sophistic to add numbers for things that have very little in common. Not a fan of communism, but my education tells me that the Khmer Rouges together with Todor Zhivkov just doesn't make sense. Hell, even "Khmer Rouges and Stalin" doesn't work in the same sentence!

Well, I let both my similar threads die the last time around so you all cant blame me for this time around the forums.

I guess the honor goes to UNA, Megaloria or other not too sure.

How did you find it?. I guess you must have gone into my profile and post it on it, anyway, I am honored.

Actually, I am very happy with the reposnse of both threads, doing as well as they have done.

I get to RP my NS Elections Council President elections results report by regions, once or twice or so again.

Again all I can say to the Fidelista voters is if Fidel were to be able to become President of the USA, he would try to become a dictator for life, as that is his nature.

This would be the last free election you all would ever vote on for the rest of your lifes'.

And live happy ever after under Fidel for life, like it or not.

Like in Cuba, 47 years and counting, dictator for life.

For those who would say the same thing about President Bush, Bush would not even come close in this nature to Fidel.

President Bush will leave office when the term expires
in about two years.

Seriously, I dispise the left for it's Mother-knows-best authoritarian attitudes and I dispise the right for it's pro-fundamentalist authoritarian attitudes. How about getting someone in who is pro- as free a country as we can attitude. Isn't this the framework the US was built on? the 'loyal fortress' is a remarkable survivor, but he's also an old man and i doubt very much that he's totaly immortal.

i'll take any street person choosen by lotery over bush though, or the intrests that actualy control him and that he represents.

As a private NS Citizen all I can say
to all the Fidelista voters is,
you have just voted for,

Fidel the one that would take your right to vote and choose, the one that would not respect your right to disagree with any government policy, and would not give you the means to challenge, or change any government policy.

And would not allow a site like Nationstates to exist for you to share your economic, political and social points of views with others, if he could find a way.

Because that is Fidel's nature.

In this nature, Bush dosent come anywhere near Fidel.

As I have posted this is the last Official Report,
and I will let this thread die,
this is an open time poll.
