Did you ever feel empty? Like you just have nothing left? I feel I need to change something in my life but I don't know what.. Last night I actually thought maybe I should start thinking about spiritual shit..
find a religion, but I don't know.

Did you ever feel like this? What did you do? Am I making sense?

I'm not sure if you saw this thread, (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=476635) but for me the answer is yes, I have felt that way. What did I do? I wrote stuff, for the most part. Poetry, stories, randomness...

I also took up debate as a passtime of mine on another forum (not here, too crowded ;))

It is manly to feel empty, relish in your newfound manliness! RELISH IN IT!

I'm sure I could say something more philosophical, but I'm feeling whimsy at the moment, so fie on you!

I do ... though usualy it is only the day after a really strange (and rare ) dream

I dont know I never have been able to pin point what dream it is but some days I will wake up almost crying and just feel empty (its about 2 or 3 times a year)

I felt like that in the past. I was spiritually dead. A spiritual revival saved my life.

However, I am not a big fan of organized religion, which tends to segregate people according to their "unique" concept of God.

Explore your spirit within and you may be surprised what you find.

Of course you're making sense. Virtually everyone feels that way from time to time. Some sort of self-improvement program always seems to help me, whether physcial, intellectual, or even spiritual. Being in a strong, loving relationship helps a lot too.

I used to feel that way all the time. I don't much anymore. (every once in a while I do, but mostly it's after a really stressful day, and only lasts about 3 hours or so, I cry then I feel better again)

You have to find something to fill up your emptiness, I found a lot of things, some things work pretty well, like God, family, and friends, and some things don't (like drugs, alcohol, and sex)

Well, it certainly sounds like a crisis of faith, take this as an oppertunity. Many of the distractions you have felt have now been pulled away, leaving you more able to see the truth of the world and your own place within it.
If I were you, I would consider looking at the following.
Buddhism
Taoism
Drudism
Satanism
Wicca

In that order, it worked for me, but perhaps it would be better to write down all the truths in life you are sure of, then cross off the ones that you have been questioning, this will give you a good view of your self.
If none of the above spiritual paths work for you, make one up.
Or you may just ignore this entire post.

Try little things, like never hitting the snooze and complete a bunch of little promises to yourself. Start a work out routine or change it up if you already have one.

If worse comes to worse you could always just punch a baby.

Being as you're asking this to strangers on the internet...

Maybe you're spending too much time online; get out more, meet more people in real time.

When you're feeling empty, fill up on alcohol.

Aww :fluffle: Don't worry, most of us have felt this before. I recommend finding a new hobby or going out of your way to meet new people. Don't worry about things as much, just enjoy yourself. Worked for me :)

I would suggest getting filled, but if I remember correctly you're a straight guy, so that's not really an option, is it?

You may consider religion, but I take it that you generally don't have a very high opinion of it, so I don't think it would fulfill you, either.
My advise would have to be, try something you haven't tried before. Preferably something you're scared of. Some sport, a new job, travel for a year or so, whatever may work for you.
Or else try to express that emptiness artistically. You'll be surprised how full that emptiness really is.

I've felt like that before, mainly when considering Death, or the wEnd of the World and Climate Change, that sort of thing.
