I have to decorate a table at a banquet 2 weeks from now, the theme is "Best Friends" and I need help. I am brain dead due to Easter stuff and can't think of a thing.

Right now, I have the idea of printing up pictures of famous best friends and decorating the table with that, but I can't think of any..........

I have

Batman and Robin (not really "friends" but you know)
Woody, and Buzz Lightyear

I can't think of non-cartoon best friends. HELP!!!!!!!!

oh, and I have to have like "hostess presents" for the guests at my table that have to tie into the theme.

yeah, help.

okay, it's for a banquet at church, and everyone is pretty serious with their tables, my friend and I decided to do something quirky and cheesy just to be silly, so we decided (a month ago) that our theme would be "best friends forever" kinda with a junior high feel you know with the broken heart that says "best" on one side and "friends" on the other, but we can't find those anymore so we slightly tweaked our theme to be "best friends" so we are looking for ideas to go with that general theme.

also, we need to figure out a center peice.

*thinks*

Why not.. em.. for the center piece.. just get a bunch flowers and then have those pics you were thinking of going around them in a bunch of different sized frames.

Then on the plates you could print off lil poems about bestfriends or make little diary entries about how you (well.. your 12 year old self..) just went to the movies or something with your best friend... maybe make lil heart cookies and write "best friends" on em and then break em in half and put one plate and then put the other on another and have the people sitting at the table match em up.

Lotsa pink and purple.. and glitter..

*grows his balls back*

While it was a pathetic episode, southparks idea of the "super best friends" might be a nice one; especially if this banquet is held in a place of worship. Get Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, Krishna, Joseph Smith, Lao Tsu and Moses [1]holding hands, and promote religious tolerance and acceptance.

[1] I recommend not including Sea-man.

and they will all be in silver "best friends" picture frames that my guests get to keep. I have a black table cloth, and was looking into getting that shaped confetti to sprinkle on the top, I just need a few more hostess gifts and a center peice.

I was thinking of maybe an address book and stationary set (so that you could keep up with your friends, and also write them letters?)
