My results are

Hinduism 96%

Buddhism 88%

Islam 75%

Paganism 67%

Satanism 54%

Judaism 54%

agnosticism 42%

Christianity 42%

atheism 25%

I am not that surprised by the high percentage of Islam, I find myself in agreement with almost all basic principles of Islam (except the iconoclasm, Muhammed is last messenger parts and parts of Islam that set in when the religion was codified later by the sunni caliphs). But I am surprised by the 54% Satanism. :p

Your views are closest to those of Judaism. If you are not a Jew, do more research on Judaism and possibly consider becoming one; however, realize that conversion to Judaism is difficult. Judaism was the first of the Abrahamic faiths; it precedes both Christianity and Islam.

You scored as agnosticism.

You are an agnostic. Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. Agnostics don't believe it is possible to prove the existence of God (nor lack thereof). Agnosticism is a philosophy that God's existence cannot be proven. Some say it is possible to be agnostic and follow a religion; however, one cannot be a devout believer if he or she does not truly believe.

Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Satanism! Before you scream, do a bit of research on it. To be a Satanist, you don't actually have to believe in Satan. Satanism generally focuses upon the spiritual advancement of the self, rather than upon submission to a deity or a set of moral codes. Do some research if you immediately think of the satanic cult stereotype. Your beliefs may also resemble those of earth-based religions such as paganism.

I'm not so sure after reading their description of "Satanism." That we may be inclined to see it as perjoritive is more our own interpretation than their intent. (92% atheist, 58% Satanist)

Secular Humanism might have been a bit wordy for their tastes, but had they chosen to that in place of Satanism, I somehow doubt the appearence of bias would be so sharply underlined :). The may well have chosen Satanism to pimp what they considered an obscure but interesting fact of its modern interpretation which they learned in preperation for creating this "quiz."

You scored as Islam.

Your beliefs are most similar to those of Islam. Do more research on Islam and possibly consider taking the shahadah and officially becoming a Muslim, if you aren't already. Despite the actions of some - who go against the teachings of Islam - Islam is a religion of peace; the word "islam" means "peace through submission to God." "Muslim" means "one who submits to God." Islam is the third of the three Abrahamic faiths, and it shares much with Judaism in Christianity; its differences are the acceptance of Muhammad as the last and final prophet, and the oneness of God - in other words, that Jesus, though he was a revered prophet, was not in fact God, and only one God exists. Apparently the Taliban could not read (though their name means "students"), because the Qur'an states that men and women are equal as believers, and that all believers should be educated and seek knowledge. Modesty in dress and behavior is required in Islam for both men and women to preserve the values of society and move the emphasis from superificial appearance to intelligence, knowledge, and God.

You are an agnostic. Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. I didn't jump to conclusions. I assumed they meant that "type" of satanism, and it still isn't accurate.

I think their definition of Satanism is misleading, but missapplied regardless.

As Tactical Grace explained, existentialism and moral relativism are not satanism.
You assumed that the quiz maker is christian, you also assumed that he/she/it was trying on purpose to label atheists as satanists.

The quiz makers appearantly do think moral relativism and existentialism is what Satanism is about, they may be wrong it is just an online quiz.

Why not just say labeling atheists and agnostics "Satanists" if you didn't assume he was christian? Why say it had biases and not mistakes if you don't think he did it on purpose?

Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Buddhism. Do more research on Buddhism and possibly consider becoming Buddhist, if you are not already. In Buddhism, there are Four Noble Truths: (1) Life is suffering. (2) All suffering is caused by ignorance of the nature of reality and the craving, attachment, and grasping that result from such ignorance. (3) Suffering can be ended by overcoming ignorance and attachment. (4) The path to the suppression of suffering is the Noble Eightfold Path, which consists of right views, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right-mindedness, and right contemplation. These eight are usually divided into three categories that base the Buddhist faith: morality, wisdom, and samadhi, or concentration. In Buddhism, there is no hierarchy, nor caste system; the Buddha taught that one's spiritual worth is not based on birth.

I bet if we were locked in a room for three days, and forced to discuss religion, only one of us would leave alive.

Yep.
Me :)

The 'forced to' may be the relevant bit.
As you may imagine, a chap who has both strong christian and agnostic streaks, is unlikely to spend his days chattering about religion at any rate.
The 'undecided/leans to' - category.

Are you implying that God doesnt know the concept of evil?
I would find that hard to swallow, if he truly created everything.
Maybe you mean he isnt capable of evil?
Well that would mean he isnt truly omnipotent, wouldnt it?

Or maybe you mean that "God just doesnt do evil stuff"?
Because we all know thats hardly true.

God understands evil as he understands people, evil is caused by the weakness of man, God does not have this weakness which is why he doesn't slip up like us and sin.

You sound like you were conditioned to give this response.

Ask yourself how you can claim to know the mind of god?
How do you know what god knows, and what he does not?
How can you presume to know what weakness god does or does not have?

Lets not argue about wether or not he exists, lets talk about interpereting God as you see fit.

Evil is not caused by mans weakness, its caused by his deeds.
Men judge each other by what they do, and lets face it, if we apply the same method to God....he fails miserably, for he DOES nothing.

Anyone else find it odd Satanism ranks so high with so many people? I am infact an atheist, although I don't see sufficent evidence to rule one way or the other on the existance of god I find it unlikely that he's a benevolent or particularly active entity.

I do own buddhist texts, so seeing Buddhism so high isn't a surprise.

The big surprise there is that I appear to be simultaneously more Christian and Atheist than I am Agnostic. Also, I expected Paganism and Hinduism to be slightly higher than that.

A big problem with the questions is, of course, that they assume a certain understanding of God even if you don't believe in that understanding; which is why, of course, the Monotheisms and Atheism are so close together in my ranking, since they generally assign the same definition to God which I find similarly flawed.

I thought the test was very well constructed, since it was just agree/disagree. If you think the statement is correct, you agree. If you don't think that (possibly because you think the statement is nonsensical), then you disagree.
didn't think about it like that. ;)

You are... an atheist, though you probably already knew this. Also, you probably have several people praying daily for your soul. Instead of simply being "nonreligious," atheists strongly believe in the lack of existence of a higher being, or God.

Cool - I scored as Christian
(Your views are most similar to those of Christianity. Do more research on Christianity and possibly consider being baptized and accepting Jesus, if you aren't already Christian. Christianity is the second of the Abrahamic faiths; it follows Judaism and is followed by Islam. It differs in its belief of Jesus, as not a prophet nor historical figure, but as God in human form. The Holy Trinity is the concept that God takes three forms: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost (sometimes called Holy Spirit). Jesus taught the idea of instead of seeking revenge, one should love his or her neighbors and enemies. Christians believe that Jesus died on the cross to save humankind and forgive people's sins.)
And, I actually am christian! Therefore, I am honest when I go to church, Reconciliation and so on! Awesome! ;)

So, an unsure Buddhist, which sounds exactly like me. Cool.

You scored as Satanism.

Gee, how'd I get that? Surprized how low of a score I got on Judaism too, considering I am Jewish (not religious at all, but Jewish nonetheless)

You answered your own question. The fact that you aren't a religious Jew is why it was so low on your list. It means that there are probably quite a few things about Judaism you don't agree with, which would have showed up in your answers. I was baptised a Catholic, i went to church as a kid, yet it was last on my list because i disagree with most of the things it preaches. I don't consider myself to be a Catholic, but according to the church, i am.

For example "I am certain that no being higher than humans exists." - Just how is an atheist (which I happen to be) supposed to reply to that? I have no reason to believe there aren't more advanced sentients in the universe. Doesn't mean I have a "spiritual" bone in my body though.

The majority of the questions were un-answerable. I'm an agnostic atheist. I believe proving the supernatural, be it deities or goblins, is a logic impossibility. It is also my opinion that belief in the supernatural, is elevating irrationality to an artform, and most likely not a very desirable pasttime.

Still, humans need their illusions.

Well, actually the satanism is a bit unexpected. If I question the existence of one, I'm not very likely to believe in the other, am I?

Some of the statements were a little screwy, though, like the one "Men and women are equal in the eyes of God". Well, as far as I'm concerned, men and women are equal, but the extremes are either "Agree" or "Disagree/NA". I didn't really want to say "Agree" even though I believe in equality, because I thought the question was tainted by the god reference, but I didn't want to go to the other extreme and click "NA", because it might be misconstrued as "Disagree" and the test would think I had Christian tendencies. And I didn't want to put anything in the middle because that would imply that I would compromise my belief in sexual equality. And there were a few others like that.

I didn't notice who the author of the test is, but I wonder if he or she realizes that some of the statements are a bit loaded and unanswerable --the "when did you stop beating your wife?" syndrome.

I had no problem choosing middle answers on the ones i didn't have an opinion on one way or the other, i am an agnostic after all...lol. I don't even know if i believe in any sort of higher power, but the number one answer i got is a religion i could believe in completely if i was going to choose one, so i'm not bothered by the answer. Then again, i do consider myself to be somewhat spiritual, just not religious.
