UN inspectors visit Iran's nuclear plants
FIVE inspectors from the United Nations' nuclear watchdog arrived in Tehran yesterday to visit Iran's controversial uranium enrichment and reprocessing plants.

Iran confirmed that the inspectors will visit the Natanz plant and the Isfahan uranium conversion facility.

The scheduled inspection comes just ahead of a key visit to Iran by Mohamed ElBaradei, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The US accuses Iran of using its civilian nuclear facilities as a cover to develop nuclear weapons; Tehran says the programme is just for electricity.

As I understand it, the Iranians don't actually have a nuclear power plant anyways yet.

The Russians are still completing the plant at Bushehr.

So all they have at the moment is research facilities that investigate how an industrial-scale enrichment program would best be done.

So obviously that can be used for both military and civilian research purposes, and a visit by the inspectors, even if they have full access to all data, documents and files, would shed little new light.

At this stage, it's all about intentions, not actions.

There goes another excuse to invade or nuke Iran.
