My power just went out, and it gave me a heck of a fright too. I guess one of those 'green box' transformer thingies must have 'gone off' because there was a fairly loud 'bang' from up the road (and since that's where it is).

Hope all my electrical stuffs have not been damaged...:eek:

I suppose I'd better ring the power company fault service. It's Sunday, and kinda early in the morning, so if I get on the phone now by the time everyone who has lost their power gets up wanting coffee, it'll be back on again.

Ummm... if your powers out how can you use your computer? I guess you must have a generator.

If you don't have power then how is your internet working let alone your computer?

Laptop with dial up?

My DSL modem and wireless router are on my brand spanking new APC backup power supply. It'll power them for a nice long time. About as long as the battery on my laptop will last. :D

I wouldnt know, I dont know anything much about DSL because I dont have DSL, I have dial up.

A light in the basement of my new house exploded today when I was down there - it went with an almighty bang and scared the crap out of me.
