So I'm a big fan of his show "Real Time" on HBO. The guy is funny, smart, and I find myself agreeing with his point of view nearly every time. Plus he comes from New Jersey, like many other exceptional people, Jon Stewart, Frank Sinatra and me to name a few. Any other Bill Maher fans out there?

And in honor of the president's trip to South America, New Rule: You can't wear a Che Guevara tee-shirt with your designer jeans unless you're trying to be ironic. One is a symbol for impoverished workers. The other was sewn by them. You want to support the poor people in Latin America? Buy more coke.

How can you not love political commentary like that?

I think you'd like his show. He's liberal, sarcastic, and funny. Plus he bashes the Christian right in a humorous manner.

PI (comedy central version) is definitely Mahers best work. His new show is pretty good though. Haven't seen too many episodes , but I agree with DCD I always see myself siding with all of his arguments.

Oh and its always good to see more talent come out of that smellhole which is jersey (because lets face it, it smells)

His show, like his celebrity, seems too insular for my liking.

Yeah, it smells like the seashore in places, pine trees in other places, and chemical plants in still other places. We've got nature and industry.

I like Bill Maher, but that show gets on my nerves. The few episodes I saw were predominantly one conservative guest with Maher and two conservative guests talking over any point the conservative has to say.

In one particular episode, Bradley Whitford, the guy that played the asshole in Billy Madison, continued to talk over James Woolsey who is a former CIA director. Not only did Maher not give Woolsey a chance to speak, he was often worse than Whitford.

I watch Real Time every single Friday, and sometimes repeats if it was a good one.

Another example to counter would be a few weeks ago. He had "Munch" from Law and Order on, along with some Republican woman. The L&O guy was really ripping into her and Maher essentially told him to shut up so she could speak.

/still hates the condescending smirks the (so-called)conservatives on that show seem to always give.

Right here. I love the guy. I only recently got HBO because my wife called and complained about the bill, and to apologize they gave us HBO at no extra charge. When she told me "HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, and the digital extras..." all I heard was "we can watch Real Time with Bill Maher now."
