Well that sucked. How am I supposed to know these answers?

Usually I don't mind if things are a bit US-centric, but this takes it a bit too far.

I still consider myself capitalist, because that quiz is waaaay to US-centered, just like anything on an american news site.

It is pretty easy to guess. You can find the answer by looking for the least likely one. Hence, Clinton more conservative than Thatcher, 10 percent pharmaceutical spending, Bush had a bigger Medicare plan than Gore, etc

And I want to protest the Clinton v. Reagan question as ridiculous and biased. What, exactly, constitutes "big" government? There is no official measure I know of, and opinions about it range from the number of regulations on the books to budget size to taxation levels to the number of government employees.
And even if you agree to some monetary (money spent, revenue raised) standard, is it to be weighed in pure dollar amounts? Percentage of GDP? Percentage of median family income?

That 'quiz' is a not-so-cleverly disguised piece of liberal propaganda. and it really has nothing to do with wether you are a capitalist or not (course I got offended after the obvious spin on the way the first two questions where worded, and how the answers were presented).

Bush is more liberal (IE:just plain silly) than most democratic presidents have been, especially when it comes to economics. it's a good thing who is sitting in the white house at the moment doesn't have much to do with how well the economy does, over all (at least not until a few years after they leave office anyway, the economy moves like a big slow lumbering dinosaur, you know). But before the dems start to bloat, that also means that Clinton didn't have much to do with the economic prosperity during his time in the chair either (the sword cuts both ways, you see).

But at least Bush doesn't cheat on his wife with the interns. That never sat well with me, sorry, I just have zero respect for people that cheat on their wives.

And before either party starts to put labels on me (like oh... well never mind, most of the ones that come to mind are either too childish or vulgar to be worth repeating) I'd just like to state for the record that I'm an independent and proud of it.

I knew none of the answers myself, but managed to get all six correct. The quiz is being used to get a point across and not to really test your knowledge, so it's always the most "shocking" answer. The big-government advocate has the smaller government, and so on. It is slightly US centric, but most you can get by knowing American stereotypes about saving, Dubya, and Margaret Thatcher. Which should be especially easy for NS'ers, considering those are, after Hitler, the most-discussed people in the General forum.
