Build away, Iran!

Karte Blanche

Seems to me like the US is just looking for a reason to go to war with the Middle East. The "Stop, or else" comment made by Bolton in the other thread seems a little... childish. I certainly hope that an Ambassador doesn't think that Iran will stop because of threats. Being the instigator that I am, I would personally build more in spite of the immature and unnecessary threats. The US is going to end up in there one way or another I'm sure, so build away, Iran, be prepared!

We will probably end up there, but you can't hate the military for doing it's job and doing what's ordered. Still our friend's and family. I'm a outspoken Republican, but if Bush goes for Iran, he's taken it way to far.

The belief is that Iran is using the "peaceful purposes only" cover to hide a possible intention to build nuclear warheads. Face it. Iran's leaders probably aren't the sanist people around. Would you let a mental patient have a gun because you believe that they will only use it to shoot clay pigeons? Ever heard of MAD? It stands for "mutually assured destruction". The belief is that if one nation nukes another nation, then that could cause a nclear free-for-all with almost every nuclear power nuking other nations in a vain attempt to protect themselves from danger. It was one of the reasons the US and Soviets had an arms race. One tried to scare the other from using nukes against the other. It doesn't matter which one you use for which. It's true either way.

Lets put it this way...you can hate the SS, but you cant hate the German army.

Sorta like...you can hate American Generals....but you cant hate the American army.

Make sense?

You would make more sense.. If You would say.. "I Can hate Both German and US generals (SS or not).. But I refuse to hate any lower ranks."

But that would be you..

Me? I still assign some responsibility to all Involved.. Nazi soldiers.. and (even more) the Generals.
I am very angry at them.. somedays i feel I hate them.. :mp5:

yes lets stir up that Iranian revolutionary zeal you ‘know the one that allowed a nation with no army to give old Saddam a run for his money and lets not forget this is now a nation with years of preparation and competent Generals (unlike Saddams)

I don’t even think the doo doo heads in Washington are stupid enough to march down that road so I feel pretty confident at the moment that there won’t be a war

War isn't what is needed. What's needed is incessant bombing until the mullahs get it through their rag-covered heads that their country will totally be screwed over if they don't stop with this nuclear nonsense. If Iran gets nukes, Saudi Arabia, and all the other mid east nations will also get them. How do you feel about a bunch of unstable regimes populated by religious retards and bigots(we have our own share of them in america, but not as much as they do, if you remember the cartoon protests) in possession of nukes?

As for those who say Iran's nuclear program is peaceful, Here's something to think about: Iran sits on a sea of oil and natural gas, and yet they must import 50% of their oil because they don't have enough refineries to refine their own oil. It's facts like these that completely discredit Iranian claims of a peaceful nuclear program.

That is all.

Absolutely. In fact, you can hate the whole fuckin german army, because during ww2, the generals ran the army. You can also hate the american army, but it wouldn't make much sense when you consider that our army is run by civilians who are accountable, not maverick generals.

Agreed. And I am a democrat (I think...more independant and not registered, but highly centrist). War is senseless! If he wants to start a war with Iran he should be leading the damn front lines from the VERY first ground troops.

America needs to pull back and stop managing every country in the world. Too many wars are senseless and it makes everyone look bad. Stick to helping Africa and making sure we build a strong union with strong people in weak nations.

There is no way we are going to war with Iran in the next two years.

Bush would have to have the mentality of a fourth grader to quick-start another war in the middle east, especially with the controversy over Iraq.

Although I do know people who would argue he does have that mentality.

Now, with the next President, I'm not so sure. We'll probably have a weak president who doesn't want to do anything with Iran, but will be forced to due to terrorest attacks/public pressure/increased threats.

If we invade, you can kiss the entire presidential administration goodbye, whoever it is who decided it. After which, I may be locked up in jail for life. :) :mp5:

I hope you're not in the US, as making threats like that (even jokingly) do not make Secret Service people laugh (it's considered a crime).
