This is a temporary measure as it is "pending a decision by European Union foreign ministers next week on future assistance." (The Times)

This comes on the heels of Canada who did the same thing as well as the United States.

Frankly, I don't think the aide will be halted permanently. I think the EU Foreign Minister will decide to resume aide but then, I've been wrong before.

What are your thoughts?

Yeah, I was wondering exactly which Hamas "aide" had been mutilated. :p

I think they should keep it going and keep it there as a treat until/if Hamas do another bad thing or possibly give them a deadline in which to renounce violence and accepting past peace agreements and then possibly another one in which to recognise Israel.
