How do I cope?

I was perma-banned from another forum today after some not so-nice posts, and I feel I've lost a best friend. :(

I know it's not the end of the world and there are plenty of other forums (including this one lol), but still, I'm pretty depressed, since everyone there is probably hatin' on me now. :(

Any advice? Emotional support?

Fuck 'em. Simple as that. There are other things to do. Hell I was banned from AOL (I think), but I didn't let that get me down. Nope, I just watched television and slept.

Wow, what did you say? Anyways, we still love you, even if you call us...I don't know, what could be the worst thing to call us? Republicans? :p

I said that I belived that inbreeding should be legalized and the AOC lowered to 13. Then I personally attacked some crazy lady who wasn't so nice about it (but later edited the posts.)

Then I got into a fight with the admin about it over regular email and she turned my 3-day ban into a permanent one.

I would suggest taking a break from that forum, or at least from that particular topic.

What? I admire somebody who spits in the face of rules on one forum...and is sensitive enough to ask for emotional support on another. You're my role model!

So, what makes you think Incest should be made legalized, and why such a low age of consent?

Well, for one thing, the law has no place in the home, in family matters, in the bedroom. As for the AOC, 13 is when the human body starts to transition to adult, and that is also when the libido and/or hormones really start to kick in in some people. Plus, they're doing it at younger ages anyway, from what I hear.

While I dont' agree with the incest one at all, I can't think of any verifying agrument against your logic at the moment, I'll think about that one.

As for the second part, I can argue against that fairly easily. In my school, at around that age, there was a select group of kids that did in fact have sex. Within two years each and every single one of them became problem children. They had no clue what to do. I know a girl that at the age of 15 had had three abortions. Another girl dropped out of school for pregnancy before she even made it to high school, the father commited suicide because he couldn't handle it. At the age of thirteen you're physically and emotionally still developing, and something like a pregnancy can cause intense amounts of stress, both physically and mentally.

Well, you got me there on the AOC thing, but I think that it may or may not had to do with the fact that under-18 sex was taboo, and they had nowhere to turn for fear of being rejected by society, I think that it might have been easier on them if it was legal and there were facilities aimed at helping them deal with it. Plus that whole "abstinence" thing may also have played a role.

EDIT: sorry for the long reply. had to change lightbulbs.

Well, my school didn't preech abstinance, and I don't think abstinance only education is effective. Also, not in the incredibly small town I lived in, but in the next town over there is a clinic that specializes in that sort of thing, and they talk anyone of any age, they also offer out condoms, and various other things of that sort. So the only counterpoint that is really valid there is the taboo thing.

AOC? All I know is, it's important to educate kids on all their options and the possible consequences of everything...that means sex, career and college, friendships, life skills, academics...the more we teach them about what REALLY matters, the better things will be.

...and no, Pluto, you don't scare me! Bring on the craziness! Tell us your most socially uncceptable belief! I dare you to shock me!
