Is there a vast conspiracy by the Moderators of this site to perform surreptitious operations in order to undermine the normal functioning of this forum?

Well as I understand it, there's a missing forum out there somewhere.

Although I have a better conspiracy theory - I think Jolt has these smilies- :sniper: :gundge: :mp5: :upyours: and to a certain extent :headbang: - just to tempt proto-trolls and spammers into using them, thus making them easier to spot and remove.

Well I was mindlessly lurking, and thought 'hey, those smilies are fucking annoying. Who in their right mind would put them in a forum system, knowing that only annoying posters would use them?' Then it hit me, like a steel fryingpan to the head - conspiracy. It's kinda like how Hitler made the Jews wear yellow Stars of David, except this time a genocide of those labeled would be warranted.:p

That’s a good point. I’ve always been careful about the violent smilies I’ve allowed on my offsite region Invision forum (despite having a whopping 130ish emoticons). I try not to include smilies that will be used only to antagonize other members of the forum, no matter how cool they look.

I do have the head banging on brick and the sniper one, but people putting rows of snipers pointing at people’s names are rare or dealt with.

Well, we can't really say for sure. If there is then it must extend beyond this forum, because (unless they are trying to brainwash us, which I highly doubt) there isn't much that this forum can do for them. If there is a conspiracy, then the entire purpose of this forum would be to gain insight into different religions, peoples, and ideas.

I think you should go through this thread and randomly delete posts. Feed the conspiracy, methinks.

As long as the problem is a conspiracy of others, the chances of a solution from ourselves diminish.

So I choose to live in world free of conspiracy. I can make a difference and change the world, as opposed to those who accept no responsibility for themselves because they perceive others to have the ability to control them.

Most people use conspiracy theories to justify their own violence, apathy and fears, not protest it in others anyway.
