The Outside World
This isn't a "What do you do in the outside world thread". What I want to know is, does anyone besides NSers and their family/friends know about NS? I don't believe I've ever seen anything in the news about NS, nor have I ever heard it uttered in the real world besides from my mouth. So I ask you, does the outside world know about NS?

My best friend and college connections teacher do.
...mostly because I bring some of the inane comments by some posters with me so me and my friend can laugh, and the teacher happens to overhear it.
Other than that... no. NS gets minimized when I leave the room with it up, and covered if my parents come in my room for whatever reason. ;)
Let's keep it that way. ...although, I did find this site through www.okcupid.com, because somebody made a quiz about it and put up the information.

I learned about NS from my friends, who all have nations but do not post in General. I think with over 1 million nations created it's a fair bet that the outside world in some part knows about NS. The question is, does the outside world know about the forum?

Now that's a good question.
Out of all of the posters from Game Informer Off-Topic who created nations here, I'm the only one who decided to see what NS General was like. And here I am, over a year later.

several teachers *who are all completly computer illiterate* even recomended me this site. so i'd say that its not well knowen but there are sertainly people who know of it, and are willing to spread the word. but those who dont play know very little. also how many of those 1.5mill are still in play?
and of those who play read the forums?
