These last few weeks have been shitty. I lost a friend to breast cance, my friend lost her dad to cancer. School is starting to suck (I actually liked school this year..). My days have been better.

Have these last few weeks been bad for you too? Or is it just me?

Sorry about your losses, and the school thing... I hope things get better for you soon. I've been through bad periods like that before, and it really does suck. :(

I had my irish oral last week, and my german one is on friday. It has been mighty sucky.

Im sorry to hear about the bad stuff that happened to you, I do sympathise.
I had a shitty year, and I felt that bad stuff kept happening to me all the time, it sort of became almost a joke amoungst friends that if it was going to happen, it would be to me...I am hoping that this year will be better, it has started out better...in my bad year my Mum died on the 6th January and the year kinda went downhill.....

So, I hope that, like me, your bad time will pass and the good stuff starts to outway the crappy pants stuff...

To answer the question in the poll: I believe that life is what you make of it. You can choose to view it as awful and depressing—I went through that a few years back—or as favourable in itself, and thus life is good because every morning you can wake up thanking whatever powers there may be that you are still breathing and alive, that you can still experience colour, light, darkness, emotion, reason... that you can still hear, think, feel, touch, taste, smell... Imagine simply being in the position of one who can do none of the above, one not as gifted as you are to still be alive in every sense of the word, in a world that really deserves to be lived in...

This is getting very confusing, I know, but I hope it helps somehow. :)

i voted good because the last few weeks have been good. but today has just been horrible. ive only been awake 3 hrs and already i feel down - feel exactly the same as i did this time last year which is no good cuz the feeling lasted about 4 months last year and drove me completely insane. im gunna have to do something about it this time cuz im not going through it again.

soory to hear about the bad stuff happening for you lately. i reckon starting something new and putting your all into it can lift the spirits. im gunna try going to the gym and really try and put myself out there socially.

Been having trouble getting recruits for my Master's thesis study.
Haven't talked to my fiancee for a couple days (unless e-mails count) and miss her.
But I'm alive, and it's a beautiful day. :) Things can always be worse. ;)

I've had a miserable time in the kitchen this past week. In Foods class, we were making Chicken Pot Pies. On Monday, we cooked up all the meat and veggies and stored them in a casserole dish to be refridgerated over night. Next day, I went to class, absolutely starving (I'd skipped out on lunch in anticipation of my pie), and found out that some sill 9'er had knocked my group's dish out of the fridge, breaking the glass and ruining our meal. We didn't have time to make a new one, so we tried this lemon custard instead. We mixed the ingredients improperly, spilled water into the custard cups, and basically buggered the whole thing up. We ended up eating donations from other groups. It was all pretty frustrating.

I've got to agree with Ruffino. These last few weeks have sort of sucked. It feels like I have very little in the way of friends and I'm thinking about changing from a great school to a crappy one because of only that(highschool). Sorry about your losses man, it must be a global thing for these last few weeks to have sucked. It seems sometimes that it's hard to rationalise why we live. Don't get too depressed though.:) Here's a smile to brighten your day!

Yup. The last two weeks have been interesting to say the least, with a bunch of not so fun stuff occuring during the daytime. However, I've had the ability to wind down at night so I've managed.

Monday was pretty lousy. The forum was so boring that I had to ego contest H N Fiddlebottoms VIII just to keep sane. If I were Czardas, it would have been worth while.

Uh, yeah, my week has royally sucked...and so did last week...and the week before that was screwed up too! Wtf?!

I haven't been out of the house in two weeks... That a lone says something about my life at the present time.
