Here's a way to wile away a few hours at work:
Song Tapper (http://www.songtapper.com/s/tappingmain.bin)

Tap a tune out with the space bar and it attempts to guess the tune.

I have no musical ability at all, so can't vouchsafe for the accuracy but I did attempt to do 'Jingle Bells' (one of the few tunes I can remember) and darn it, if it didn't bring it up as a matching song.

It also suggest, among others, the 'SuperMario' tune, 'Stairway to Heaven' by LedZep and 'Fozey Lady' by Jimi Hendrix. Obviously one of his lesser known pieces. Maybe it was about Fozzy Bear's mother.

Hmm... No Sex Pistols stuff, but it seems pretty accurate to me.

I'm either really crap at this or it doesn't know my songs. I was trying to do Rock the Casbah by the Clash. Maybe I doing this wrong. Am I supposed to tap to the lyrics or to the rhythm of the melody?

Every thing I did appeared to either be Only One by Yellowcard, Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana, or Chop Suey by SOAD, so its not just you.

I was insulted that it even suggested I would try to remember a song by Yellowcard... :eek:
