Common! My polls are always done in like 30 seconds after my initial post... patience!!! :p
The only polls I don't usually vote are the ones that just sound stupid to me... and sometimes I vote in those, too! (See the Favorite Font thread for details, though that was partially due to April Fools as well.)

I'll vote in a pole so long as two conditions are met.
Condition One: I am eligible to express my opinion by being within the target (if any) sampling.
Condition Two: It isn't some ass-backwards, biased poll that doesn't even have the decency to include a non-trapped "other" option.

Usually, though if I'm denied an option for myself (like on all those silly American/Non-American polls) I don't bother.
Well, I only vote if I can vote for all the options.
as often as i can, even when i don't think anyone is actualy going to listen, which is most of the time.
it's fun. it gratifies the ego. and it may, however rarely, actualy bennifit someone.
