Commentary box: This is a gross violation of this beasts human rights since marijuana should be legal anyway and I think that in a country that has the most incarcerated population in the world they shouldnt be overcrowding our prison industrial complex with yet more innocents--its cruel and antihuman

BOSTON (March 29) - This Prada's bag was no designer purse. A Boston detective searching the apartment of a drug suspect wound up wrestling a sack containing 108 bags of marijuana out of the clenched jaws of a pitbull named Prada.


The dog was running around carrying a tan-colored bag Tuesday as police were searching the apartment, where they had already found a loaded gun, $1,000 cash and 14 bags of marijuana.


Prada did not give up without a fight.


When an officer tried to grab Prada's bag, the pooch pulled back. The plastic tore, and police said could they could see bags of marijuana inside the sack in Prada's mouth.


"All 108 bags were recovered from the dog's mouth after a vigorous struggle," police said in a written statement.


Officers locked Prada in a dog crate. They also arrested three people at the apartment.

I do not believe it should be illegal for a dog to posess marijuana if it's for personal use.

Abuse of powers? Are youi an anarchist? They were enforcing the law. That's their job. And the law they were enforcing is perfectly fair. You can have fun without drugs.

You have the rights that the state agrees to give you. In a democratic republic you have the rights the elected officials agree to give you.

Your only recourse is to get enough people to agree to influence those representatives. I doubt if you have a chance in H--- of getting that done.

I'm drawing the line at which races are capable of rational thought, advanced society and eating with a fork. Dogs don't have a care or use for streetlights unless there isn't a fire hydrant handy.

Men have certain natural rights, inherant just to being human. Whether or not our government recognizes our rights only says how authoritarian it is.

Government officials, elected or not have no good reason to impinge on my rights (such as self-ownership, my body, my choice to harm it).
