You've obviously been busy.
Haven't bases always been under threat? Now it's just more of a threat. It would be stupid to attack the US anyway, we're too much of a superpower.

And Iran is a wealthy, independent and well-equipped state with the ability and funding to do a substantial amount of damage. I'm not denying that the U.S won't bulldoze them, but there will be significant losses on both sides.

It would be so awesome if Iran declared their entire nuclear program a joke built up for April Fool's. :p

They aren't well equipped; their military is nothing more than a bunch of older, reverse engineered Chinese/Russian/US equipment and would be hopelessly outmatched in the event of a war.
