Because what goes on in Palestine is an unjustice that is wrong and actually hurts US sercurity. The war terror on the other hand is necessary to protect America and is completely justified given the events of 9/11

I dont really think the military has done anything wrong. They are well trained and professional.

I consider much of the actions in Vietnam to be quite unproffesional as well as the U.S. military's actions in the Phillipines during our war of aggression against Spain.

Well I'm certainly glad it happened but the reasons it occured were more of self-interest then the noble cause of freedom, no taxation without representation and all that. We wanted to make our own policies and Britain wanted to keep her colonies. Pretty simple without adding any myths to the revolution.

The question here is whether socialist means lots of taxes/debt, or whether it just means providing lots of government services. I think of it more in terms of services (cradle to grave style stuff). That doesn't mean it has to be paid for in a stupid manner. Most of the richer middle eastern nations give huge amounts of free services to their people. South Africa has in its constitution a right to housing and sewage systems. I would doubt that most of Africa (or indeed the world) has that degree of socialism. There's a difference between socialism and kleptocracy.

What caused me to suspect the relationship was their posting style as well as Mustapha's similar off the wall anti-Bush sentiments.

All in all, if your nationalist sensibilities are injured by something on teh Intarwebs, you need to grow up. Same tends to go for the people who have nationalist sensibilities at all.

Ah, that WOULD be awesome! Sweden would instantly become the Samuel L. Jackson of the international community, the kind of country nobody disagrees with because, well, you wouldn't get on the wrong side of a people who were so bad-ass that they didn't even see the need for a military would you?
