***Not an April Fool's Joke***

I don't know about the rest of the planet, but the US pushes the clocks ahead an hour at 2 AM Sunday morning!

Residents of some parts of the country can ignore the changes. Daylight-saving time isn’t observed in Arizona, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Marianas.

Thank you for finally converting, Indiana! :D

EDIT: Yes, I know the poll is early, it only being 18.25 EST. I can't add it later... I'll be at the bar!

I think we should improve the system by changing it to "Spring Back, Fall Back". Plus it should remain possible to add "Winter Back" and "Fall Back"

"Fall back, spring forward," is the proper American reminder propoganda.

Yeah at 2 AM. It is just after 7 PM EST so it is a while until we need to worry.

That is cause your country is on the wrong side of the equator. :)

Yes, we're hoarding it. In a few years time, when there's a critical time shortage, we'll sell it back to the world at vastly inflated prices! Mwahahahaha!!! :p

Aw, no, say it isn't so! :(

You always kinda had to admire their balls and/or sheer stubbornness to stick to something as confusing as this (http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/daylight-saving-time/usa/indiana/index.htm) all these years:

1. 77 counties, most of the state of Indiana, are on Eastern Standard Time but do NOT use Daylight Saving Time (DST). They are in effect on the same time as Eastern Standard Time (e.g. New York) during the Winter and the same time as Central Daylight Saving Time (e.g. Chicago) during Summer.

2. 5 counties near Chicago, Illinois and 5 counties in the south-western corner of the state are on Central Standard Time and DO use Daylight Saving Time (DST).

3. 2 counties near Cincinnati, Ohio and 3 counties near Louisville, Kentucky are on Eastern Standard Time but DO observe Daylight Saving Time (DST).

Another bit of general insanity down the drain. :(

Actually, Britain and Ireland pushed theirs ahead last weekend, so I spent a week being an extra timezone's worth of time separated from my parents! :(
(Bit of a bitch when it came to scheduled phone calls home! My boss wasn't happy when I dropped everything in the middle of the afternoon to have an hour long chat with home on MSN at my desk  )
But all's well with the world again, now that the American's has FINALLY caught in with the rest of the western world! Time wise, that is, not technology/fashion wise, give it another couple of decades....

Stupid Americans may spell things differently, but as far as I know all speakers of the English language agree on the usage of their to indicate the possessive of they. Sorry to be a grammar nazi, but when you criticize other people's spelling, you open yourself up to it.
