Ungrateful mother enraged by free porn

Some lady bought a DVD player from Walmart, that all-American family values loving corporation. She was about to watch Bambi II (This time it's personal), when she noticed that there was already a DVD in the machine. The DVD started playing and treated her and her kids to some free porn. She seems upset by this.

Are you flamebaiting wal-mart haters? The articles says that the box hadn't been tampered with, and so no wal-mart employee has been distributing free porn. How about your blame the guys who actually make the player?
I'm bored.

Thirteen-year-old Taylor watched sex acts she didn't even know about.
"It's very gross," said Taylor. "I saw body parts I've never seen before."

I find it hard to believe that a 13 year old would have seen something she had never even heard about before...christ, my 2 year old cousin knows about penises and vaginas.

In case it is real news and not an April Fool joke:
I think it is realistic that the children are very disturbed by seeing porn sexual acts, and not an exaggeration by the mother. When children are normally taught how a woman gets pregnant, there is a lot of explanation how all this belongs to a relationship and few if any images of sexual organs (which can be drawings and not photos).
Even children who know about sex will be disturbed by such a movie. The three girls will now at least know that there are people who enjoy watching such movies, and probably worry that they will have to do such sexual acts later because they've now seen men enjoying that.

Okay, we've already established, based on the date, that it's likely real news, try reading the thread. Second, when children are normally taught how a woman gets pregnant, yes, it's usually illustrations. But when teens and preteens are given a broader base in sexual education, at least in my sheltered Midwestern Bible Belt education, it gets a lot more realistic than just "Mummy and Daddy share a special hug". Also, none of us were EVER actually taught that it had anything to do with "a relationship" in my school system, so no clue where you're basing that off of.
Children who know about sex might be disturbed by "such a movie", yes....but we don't know what "such a movie" actually entails, how much of it they saw (it was implied that it was only the briefest flash.....that wouldn't permanently scar the average 13 year old girl). It's also a baseless claim to say that they're going to worry that they'll have to perform such acts later, because based on what we can infer there wasn't even enough time to really gather much information, let alone multiple acts and proof that men enjoy it.
I mean come on, use common sense. It's not like the mother sat and gaped while the entire porno crawled by. How much of it could they possibly have seen? It's not rocket science.

Must be damn hard porn if the few seconds the mother would have needed ( while probably blocking the view at the tvscreen) to turn it off can seriously upset those children.
Personally I think the knowledge that some people watch porn should be less upsetting to kids than to have them realise that a large part of the worlds population likes to kill other parts in war, has many scary diseases, a high infant mortality rate, poverty etc.

Welcome to the real world. Children see more 'unhealthy' sexuality(i.e. casual sex) in soap operas than those kids could possibly have seen in the few opening minutes of a magic porno that played itself.

Pfft, bitchslap the mother for trying to scam Wal-Mart. Not that I have any particular allegience to Wal-Mart, the woman is just an idiot.
Simonist']Or at the very least, why couldn't she have stopped it at the menu, because no Apex players (not even the cheap ones) go STRAIGHT into the movie.
Granted, perhaps, just maybe, they were seeing previews. I dunno, some porn is classy enough to have previews, right? I think I've seen it before. But the point is....God, there is no fucking point, this woman's a goddamn twit who's oversheltering her children, or at LEAST the older one.
My thoughts exactly.

Actually, I'm beginning to realize it's nasty Taylor to blame. She'd already used the DVD player (unbeknownst to Ma), watching a porn, probably with her secret boyfriend. And forgot to take it out.
She lied about it, claimed total innocence and that somehow the DVD must have been in there fresh from the store.
Ma's innocent about technology and about Taylor's boyfriend and so she believes it.
Now it's Wal-Mart's social duty to convince Ma that Taylor is not as innocent as she seems. Hey, that sounds like a good idea for a pr0n!

Some lady bought a DVD player from Walmart, that all-American family values loving corporation. She was about to watch Bambi II (This time it's personal), when she noticed that there was already a DVD in the machine. The DVD started playing and treated her and her kids to some free porn. She seems upset by this.

Two thumbs up for whoever did this! http://assets.jolt.co.uk/forums/images/icons/icon14.gif http://assets.jolt.co.uk/forums/images/icons/icon14.gif
The most disturbing part clearly was this:
"Thirteen-year-old Taylor watched sex acts she didn't even know about."
Good grief, the girl is already *13*! She really should know by now how it's like in RL, rather than some braindead birds&bees nonsense

I will grant that there are some people who lead very sheltered lives so it is entirely possible that these sexual acts were something the 13 year old has never seen before – but I bet she's heard of them. And unless she has been home schooled, locked in a room and prohibited from meeting anyone outside the family, never allowed to watch tv, or see any movies any more controversial than Bambi, the whole ‘corrupted by the movie’ is ridiculous. She's been there done that, or at least talked about it with her friends.
Secondly – the only way I really see that they could have seen actual sex acts would be if the mother accidentally hit the play button while hooking it up – and thus it had already progressed into the actual sex rather than the whole legal jargon and whatnot in the beginning.
Thirdly – and this is where people differ – if a 13 year old is horribly scarred for life and needs psychological counseling because she saw a brief flash of porn, she desperately needed a lot of counseling to begin with.
My parents were always open with me and answered any question I had. I have always known what bodies actually look like all my life – I cannot conceive of a 13 year old not having ever seen some body parts. Its parents raising their kids like this causing all sorts of major mental issues later in life. I cannot see how kids raised this way come out with a healthy view of sex and nudity. Unless of course you believe that sex is a dirty disgusting thing that nobody should enjoy and it should only be suffered through to produce children, and that the human body is a hideous thing that should be concealed at all times even when alone, then these kids are great.

I am all for people stealing and scamming from Wal-Mart. Every little helps to bring them down.
I repeat:
Only in America.
I have NEVER heard about such scams and isolated children in any other country. The legal system is dumb enough to allow a case like this to even be considered valid!
I am not anti-American, I am just not the type of person to avoid stating truth for the sake of not "offending" people. Jesus Christ...

You ARE being anti-American, taking a moment to bash America for having an idiot or two.
This subject, these two people, have nothing to do with America. There is nothing that prohibits it from happening anywhere else.
Maybe you haven't heard about such scams because they're not in the mostly America-centric press.
I don't think your nations society is such a model for healthy sex anyway. Sure, we have 13 year old girls who apparently never saw a human erect penis before. Only in America? You have 13 year old girls who are mail-order brides. But hey I'm not bashing your country or anything.

Mail order brides?! Lol, a crazy concept...but hey, it is possible. But this is not the only scam. What about that finger at Wendy's? The mouse in chili? The McDonald's hot coffee case? THe millions of fat people suing fast food to get a quick buck? I am not even getting started.
Sure, we have a lot of problems. Corrupted police, skinheads...
I never said my country is better, I just said that this is the only country with this sort of problem.

Put porn in all DVD players, if that's the only way to force parents to be responsible enough to explain sexuality to their pubertating kids!!!

I have a couple of comments about this whole thing.
Firstly, what were they doing watching Bambi 2? What's wrong with the first Bambi? And why was a thirteen-year-old watching Bambi 2 in the first place?
And secondly:
""It's very gross," said Taylor. "I saw body parts I've never seen before.""
WTF? Shouldn't she have seen male body parts in a sexual education class? I remember seeing male body parts when I was eleven. With sex education like that, it's no wonder that the rate of abortion is so high. Talk about I-G-N-O-R-A-N-C-E.

All three of her children, the youngest just eight years old, saw the first few seconds of the DVD before Shelley lunged for the player to turn it off. Thirteen-year-old Taylor watched sex acts she didn't even know about.
"It's very gross," said Taylor. "I saw body parts I've never seen before."
She's lying.
I knew my body parts and sex acts when I was 10.

Meh, this is typical anymore. Half the girls in America have male names. Sadly, my wife wouldn't let me name our son, Susan(Mosquito rocks!).
