So I heard a single on the radio by Avenged Sevenfold called Bat Country. I like that song, and am considering buying a couple of their CDs. Does anyone here have an opinion of that band? Are they worth it? Do their other songs sound similar to Bat Country?

excellent band. "warmness of the soul" is my fav. song of theres. i would say buy thier cd, they have a great sound and thier lyrics are also very good...

They are on of my favorite metal bands. I have the Waking the Fallen Cd and the City of Evil Cd, both of them are great. The song you are talking about is on the city of evil Cd. Get it!

very good... don't know much but i had one of their albums before my HD died last year - IIRC the whole album was good and thoroughly enjoyable... just can't remember what album it was (assuming there's >1)
kinda similar to Trivium IIRC (might like them too)

Hmm I got a free CD, from the Hot Topic warehouse giveaways that my mom brings home, of them and I didn't like it but then again I'm not a fan of most of todays metal. If you were a local I'd give it to ya.

Trivium is also GREAT! I have their Acsendancy(sp?) album, it's awesome! Anyone have their first album, I think it's Amber to Inferno? How is it?

They're definately one of the most technically proficient bands out there, though their songwriting leaves a little to be desired, in my opinion. I'm going to see them next Saturday with Coheed and Cambria.

I think they are on the NHL 06 soundtrack but canna remember.
If they are the song is one of the better.
