At least 3 quakes have taken place killing 66 people so far. It is my hope that we will do all we can to assist Iran in this time of need.

IF by assist you mean point and laugh then yes. It's teh will of God! I bet Pat Roberts will say that. We should use this as a chance to find all their nucular plans.

yeah, we all know its God's doing. I mean The Us hates Iran, God loves and obeys the US' will, so thus God hates Iran. Thus, he traveled in time and made the Persians establish their empire on plates, where He knew earthquakes were bound to happen. That silly God...always messing around:rolleyes:

66 people or so died. Hardly calls for a massive international relief effort. I'm sorry for the dead folks and their families (providing they're not anti-western religious wackos, if they are then I'm glad), but it's not like there's an urgent need of aid there.

At least it didn't happen in Bam this time. I had a really hard time not laughing when buildings collapsed in the earthquake that hit Bam.
I think current politics might interfere if with any Western efforts to help. Their president is a nutcase who will think the aid workers are probably spies.

Thats what they get. The U.S. said stop with the uraniuma nd they didn't believe us, so we sent Chuck Norris to RHK their western border, there will be nothing left by tommorrow.

I fully agree.
After all, no one but Mother Nature is responsible for an earthquake and as humans, we have a responsibility to look after our own kin because the government won't always take care of its people in a timely manner.
Politics means nothing when tragedy strikes.
I think we can be thankful that the death tole is so low. Knowing Iran's history of earthquakes, it could have been a lot worse.
International relief could help Iran see the west in a positive way, but somehow I doubt it.

We had tried that with the last earthquake. Sadly after some time all international aid workers were expelled from Iran.

Good for you, compassion is a great thing to have. Do you think if the US suddenly had an earthquake that killed 66 people that Iran would help? Did they help during the Hurricanes?

It's 66 people for fuck's sake! That's not a huge body count. It doesn't require anyone to mobilize for a massive rescue operation. 66 people dead isn't even newsworthy.

Actually it is up to 70 now with 1200 wounded and thousands homeless :(

66 is nothing compared to past quakes. One in December 2003 killed around 30,000 people in Iran.
