Mutant population to increase in Vegas

I for one wish that it didn't take this to clue in the majority of Nevada voters that the administration didn't have our best interests in mind. That being said, for voting red in 2000 and 2004, I can't say that we don't deserve this. . .

As a side note, I admit that I might be overblowing this; there might be something non-nuclear that can produce mushroom clouds, but I can't think of any.

Mutant population to increase in Vegas? Without an increase in radiation? Interesting...
But trust me, nobody will notice. And outside of Vegas, nobody will care. ;)

Eeeep! Well I hope they announce when it will be so I can see it and take a picture.

This isn't a newquelar explosive though right?

In Vegas? Oh please, people will be gambling on the outcome of the explosion. Besides, a little 'shroom cloud never hurt anyone.

Every explosion produces a mushroom cloud to an extent. A 700 tonne warhead would easily release one without being nuclear.

Its not nuclear, its conventional
Therefore, no radiation, therefore, no mutants

No-one will ever know the outcome, because what happens in Vegas...

Not that I'm disbelieving you, but do you by chance have a source on that? I've noted several instances where the administration has recommended developing and testing low-yield nukes out at the Nevada Test Site for use in bunker-busting, and this article doesn't say whether the explosions are nuclear or non-nuclear.

That being said, it would be a shame in some respects if it is non-nuclear. Our supply of costumed superheroes has run dangerously low since the cessation of nuclear testing, which leaves us vulnerable to the ravening hordes of the Cyton Empire from Ceti Alpha V.
