They're kind of pushing the envelope in terms of what's allowed on TV too. For example, I was watching Black/White and I noticed that they don't bleep out words like "shit".

I think I even heard a guy on NPR say shit while I was flipping through the radio stations last Saturday. Weird. It's like the FCC only cares about potentionally objectinable words when they come out of a shock-jock's mouth.

Season three, just completed, was the best season of any show I have ever seen. :eek: The Shield rules.
i never got into the shield. the commercials never appealed to me. Same with Thief, i don't think i'll like it.
But i did like over there and rescue me. But one the canceled, and i'm too lazy to find what times rescue me is still on.

Over There wasn't cancelled, it's just that FX seasons are only 13 episodes rather then 23 like the networks.

Yes. We're very puritanical. Dildo stores need to advertize their wares as "adult novelties", for example.

Aw, come on. I didn't mean to pull the "OMG you're so puritanical!!!" card. I was honestly surprised. Because I can see bleeping fuck, but "shit"? And "bitch" is almost even more ridiculous. So how do people even curse on TV? Do they all say "Damn" or "Hell" or something like that (damned if I remember)?
Would "asshole" be bleeped? Or "dumbass" or something like that?
