What's the sickest film you've ever seen?

There seems to be a bit of a trend for gory horror films at the moment, e.g. Hostel, Hill Have Eyes remake, Devils Rejects, etc, moving on from the glut of psychological horrors that were flavour-of-the-month a few years ago.

I'm not a big fan of films that are particularly graphic; the worst thing I've sat through in that regard is probably something fairly lame like the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

What would people say is the most disturbing thing they've seen on screen, especially concerned with the depiction of violence?

Has anyone seen any of the notorious 'video nasties' people talk about - Cannibal Holocaust, Men Behind The Sun, Salo, Lucker, etc - If so what did you think?

I guess it'd have to "Audition", which had some pretty disturbing moments in it. 3 people in the theatre I was in walked out and when a mate went to see it, one man went to leave and made it to the exit then fainted.
Personally, I thought it could have been made even more disturbing, but overall it was gruesome.
It was a nice schizophrenic movie, in that it started off as a pleasant, kinda boring, love story but then just twisted right round and went sicko/bizarre. The bit when she's pushing needles into his eyes and happily singing in a little girls voice 'deeper deeper deeper' is pretty bad. But not the worse bit.
I'll leave that to you to find out.

Holy fuck. I just looked that one up on IMDb because I thought I remembered it had been part of the local film festival once. Well, I still don't know if it was, but made the mistake to read a bit in the message board. OMG. I certainly was reminded of why I don't watch gory movies...

Begotten, which starts off with god killing itself (complete with the post mortem shitting of itself) and then spends the next two hours following a dude dragging himself across a desert alternatively being dressed and undressed by nomads while they beat him or raw meat with sticks, sometimes both at once. Once you see it you have the overwhelming desire to get others to see it just to see how they react, like when you convince your friends to take a sniff of the smelling salts or put a glob of Icey Hot on thier arm...

I haven't seen many gross movies, but I've seen some gross scenes in movies.

1) The scene in Resovour Dogs where Mr. (what's his name) slices off the cop's ear for no reason other than he's a cop.

2) Fargo- The wood-chip cutter scene. 'Nuff said.

3) Alien- Chest burster (I'm over that, but still, fairly gross)

I'm gonna' stick with the original "Exorcist". I mean, few movie moments were as disturbing as watching 14 year old Linda Blair fuck herself with a crucifix, violently puke pea-green soup all over a room, and do a complete 360 with her head!!! Not to mention some of the comments she made towards the priest!

Oh, I completely forgot! Turns out I can play, too, despite not watching gory movies.

The sickest movie I ever saw?

The Passion of the Christ.

I made a point of not watching it - just to have to watch it in a sociology class...

Well, I don't know what "people" say, but the absolute most gross and disturbing movie I have ever seen was The Fly. I love si-fi and horror, but that was just tooo tooo much! Ick!

Ach come on, the Exorcist is one of the tamest movies you could see. I fell asleep near the end. It really was that boring.

Go on. Watch it. If nothing else, it'll probably cure you of any fantasies you may have had regarding getting a japanese g/f.

Out of interest, the movie was apparently based, very loosely, on a true story (so I was told by a couple of japanese guys who flatted with me back in NZ). A japanese girl had a korean b/f. Everything going well, etc etc, engaged blah blah blah.
Then he gets a job back in Korea and understandably is happy about moving back. She doesn't want to go and doesn't want him to leave her.
So she does what any totally insane girl would do in this situation.
Kills him.
Then chops him up, invites all his friends round for dinner and serves him up to them. Tells them what they'd eaten afterwards.
Ahh...those crazy japs, eh?

Goddamn you half-Japanese girls

"Suche gut gebauten 18 bis 30-jährigen zum Schlachten“
-Der Metzgermeister

Heute Treff Ich einen Herrn
Der hat mich zum fressen gern
Weiche teile und auch harte
Stehen auf der Speisekarte

Denn du bist, Was du isst
Und ihr wisst, Was es ist
Es ist Mein Teil - Nein
Mein Teil - Nein
Da - Das ist Mein Teil - Nein
Mein Teil - Nein

Denn du bist, Was du isst
Und ihr wisst, Was Es ist
Es ist Mein Teil - Nein
Mein Teil - Nein
Da - Das ist Mein Teil - Nein
Mein Teil - Nein

Ein schrei wird zum Himmel fahren
Schneidet sich durch Engelsscharen
Vom Wolkendach fällt Federfleisch
Auf meine Kindheit mit Gekreisch

Das ist Mein Teil - Nein
Mein Teil - Nein
Da - Das ist Mein Teil - Nein
Yes it’s Mein Teil - Nein

Ilsa: she wolf of the SS.

there is one scene where a bloody woman is being worked over... the experimentation was about the pain limits of women.

while looking at the twisted mass of flesh and blood... you see one woman working on her 'feet' and hear the 'click', 'click', 'click' of wire cutters.

I've never watched it, nor do I intend to because it has no plot, but I'm told this is one of the sickest films ever. It's just a weird little guy in a samurai outfit cutting the limbs off of a girl, followed by eviscerating her, then decapitating her. I've heard that when it first came out it was believed to be a real snuff film by some viewers and it triggered a couple of police investigations.

Regarding sick movies - well, The Passion was really a snuff movie  but other than that "Violent Shit" is - although cheaply made - pretty gross(sick, whatever).

Man-I saw that like 20 years ago- Wasnt there also a "Wicked Warden" film, similar to that? It was a name like "Ilsa", I think.

I dont really care for the gorefest type horror movies. I feel like they are a needless waste of time to me. I've seen some exceptionally horrible things in real life, in person. The movies remind me of them, but the shock they are looking for is lost on me.

"Faces of Death" series were up there in sickest movies I've seen. Many others are already mentioned here.

As far as Saw & Saw II, Hostel...I'm not interested. My morbid curiosity was satisfied a long time ago.

Its like I'm only interested in action/adventure movies these days.

I honestly cannot see what would posess a man to create a film about men acting out torturous methods upon individuals (Hostel). I heard about scenes of drilling through the man's nipples, or something like that, and I thought to myself: 'That's one film I shan't be seeing'.

I've never been a fan of horror films, I recently went to see Final Destination 4. That had some pretty disgusting things in it (namely the staple-gun to the head and the truck motor coming out and slicing off the back of a bloke's head).

Eww. :P

I laughed through that whole film....it was like a far out Benny Hill show crossed with a two ronnies special from the 70's where women (in high heels and minis)take over the world. She "heils" her commander on the phone with the raised arm salute, sitting on a desk with a skirt thats cut back to her ears fer fecks sake....

Sickest would be either "Audition" or a scene in one called "Society" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098354/) where they pump a fat guy full of some fluid, pull him inside out and crawl around inside his stretched out body. "Dead or alive" has a rather not nice bit with an unfortunate prostitute, an inflatable paddling pool, enemas and a crazed yakuza.

That wasn't the most disturbing scene in that movie (imo).

Salo was disturbing the first time I saw it. I don't think it would bother me anymore.

Audition? A bit disturbing

Come and See (idi i smotri) shares the top position with Irreversible.

But none of them is really "sick" just few scenes in them. I recommend Come and see to everyone.

Quentin Tarentino has Pulp Fiction, Resovoir Dogs, Kill Bill 1/2, etc.

If it doesn't have to be movies, then the South park episode when Mr. Garrison gets a sex change comes to mind.
