almost all those other jobs require actual work and heap responsibility on the poor sap.

To be a food critic, all I'd do is eat good food and write this about it:

"Sergio's prime rib and mashed potatoes were good, and the creme brulee was divine. Four stars."

I'd do that. Except I'd still work, it would just be good to have the money to fall back on, and generally be philanthropic with.
