This may be the most politically incorrect name for a product I've seen in some time

The product is called "Sig Heil!". It's a program that makes your sig vary randomly from an assortment of different quotes.

How about better informing yourself to the actual meaning of Sieg Heil and then judging?

Come on now. Despite it's meaning it's gained an unsavory connotation since the nazis.

My guess is that they linked the ancient Indian culture to Aryanism. They theorised I think that the race had moved between India and Europe. Therefore, they saw it as a symbol of the "Aryan race".

From Mein Kampf:
In red we see the social idea of the movement, in white the nationalistic idea, in the swastika the mission of the struggle for the victory of the Aryan man, and, by the same token, the victory of the idea of creative work, which as such always has been and always will be anti-Semitic.

IIRC the orientation of the symbol actually had little significance in its original form, and so they weren't actually useing the inverse of a good luck symbol, just it's lesser used form.

EDIT: FWIW, Wikipedia seems to agree with me obn this one.
