The second one's backyard reminds me of those I saw on the outskirts of Berlin when I visited there. Why are European yards 1000 times better than American ones? Here people tend to cut down everythign and then put like 3 bushes out and one little tree and keep the grass down real short and the yard empty. The European yards I saw were all beautifully lush and garden like looking almost wild in some places but in reality I'm sure they were quite planned. That is the type of yard I like, more like Eden.

You fool, that was the special decoy house. The real house was fired up into the sky, and is currently occupying low earth orbit, just beyond the reach of potential pyromaniacs and Carisbrookes.
Of course, the house is also beyond my reach, and I blew my last two million on launching the house, so I've got no more money to buy a space shuttle.

Alright.
Although, hmmm. I like the somewhat funky exterior of the first one, the second one looks a bit too Rich American Suburbia for my taste. But the interior of the second one rocks (or at least it will after you dump the furniture).
So - would you be okay with getting interior and exterior separately? I'm sure it would be real easy to assemble. You could think of it as a life-size jigsaw puzzle - fun for the whole family!

:fluffle: TOTALLY! I will email you the first 50p as soon as I get the keys. I actually like bits of both of them, and the position of the second one is SOOOO much nicer than the first, and in the summer it's beautiful. You don't have to drive more than 30 minutes here, as the Island is only 12 miles by 27. it is cheaper here than many places in the south, but that said its more expensive than others...I like where I live though, but it is SO expensive and almost impossible to get a foot on the property ladder unless you are earning well. The other thing about the Island is, as it is small, there is not much industry, but if you want to build planes, hovercraft, military radar, wind turbines or yachts, then this is the place!

One trouble with THIS island is that much of the coast is within an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is Heritage coast with Sites of Scientific Special Interest. The National Trust own a big bit of the Island and it is VERY protected. They keep finding dinosaur bones on the coast too.....the bits you get to build on very limited. Although I did go look at an appartment at the weekend, it was a 3 bedroom 3 bath place, with a terrace and no garden...BUT it looked out over the sea to The Needles...the cost was £320,000.

Ah! Ok then.
I seriously doubt i would fit in with a neighborhood like that. My idea of a "good neighbor" is one who's about five miles away. :D

It would never occur to me to wonder about most of those things. I thought you might be making an obscure funny. ;)

I thought you might be making an obscure funny. ;)nah.. besides You clearly stated it was NOT your neighborhood.
If I wanted to do "an obscure funny".. i would have picked it from the second one (the one you said i was your area)..
But I am not that "obscure" (If I ever did that kind of stunt.. would mean I have no class *shame*)

I would go absolutely insane living in a neighborhood like that! Heh!
This is close to my ideal when situated in the center of about 100 acres: http://www.applog.com/floorplans/dogwood_II.pdf :D

There's Hell, then there's the suburbs. But even worse is lakefront property.
We started looking for a place around Blue Ridge or Toccoa ( both in Georgia for you folks that don't know geography) and were quite surpised at how overdeveloped it is around any desirable feature.

I really, really love this one, but given my status ( or lack thereof ) as a disabled veteran, it's more likely I'll be hit by lightning than ever be able to get one: http://www.applog.com/floorplans/montgomery.pdf

Eut, you trust us (NS Forum) with a lot of your personal Life.. Your real name.. Your home.. Your Family pictures..
I would really hate it if some idiot here would ever try to use that(to get at you) on a debate... Specially if it was someone who (like 99% of us) are shielding his own info.
thas what I mean by "having no class."
