I don't understand the whole 'school shooter' stuff. Kids years back never shot up schools. Why do they do it now? I'm sure plenty of kids were bullied in the fifties, but how many of them went on shooting rampages?

I'd love to, although in order to avoid breathing the Nazi scum I have confined myself to the confines of my small bubble, which only allows for me to move five feet from my current position. Also the keyboard is covered in slippery plastic so I keep falling off of it.

There were incidents. They just didn't get as reported. Bad stuff that happened back then never got reported. For example, would you guess that the rate of teen pregnancy is higher today that it was in the '50s? If you said "yes", you'd be wrong.

I'm sure they did, it just wasn't as widely reported. Remember that guy back in the 50s or 60s that was at that college in Texas (can't remember what school), and went into the bell tower and started shooting people?

These things have probably always happened, we just haven't heard about it till now, and with the publicity surrounding Columbine, of course more other kids get the same idea.

I'm sorry if I'm reading too far into what you're saying, but I always thought the people who said "plenty of kids were bullied in the 50s, but they didn't shoot up schools" were just trying to make a case for why bullying isn't that bad. I could go into a big thing about how the only way to prevent school shootings would be to change how society works, in regards of the treatment of outsiders, but that would be long and pointless, and I'm sure someone else will make that point anyway.

I remember when I was in high-school, I was actually a NAZI. Of course I've grown up since then and realized how f*d up it all was, but for an angry youth it can be appealing. The endless violence, the uniform acceptance, the feeling of power knowing that your ideals are supreme. But that was just me, back in the day. I'd strap on my Doc Martens and see who wanted to get their arses kicked.

But NAZIs are all different. A lot like Christians. You have your Baptists, Methodists, Mormons, Catholics, Apostolic, the list goes on and on. They all stem from Christianity (let's not get deep into the roots of Christianity). But the point is that they're all different groups. There are different groups of NAZIs as well. Some want to put NAZIs in high ranking offices, some want to burn high ranking officials, some want to burn churches, some want to beat up church goers. Maybe he never read Mein Kampf, maybe he didn't know that Hitler wasn't German, maybe all he was attracted to was violence. There doesn't have to be a self-hatred ideology in senseless masacre.
