Audioslave vs. Rage Against The Machine

I think Rage is better. Their politics own, and well, Chris Cornell is gay.
Tom Morello owns, but Chris locks him up instead of how Zack unleashed him. Rage music makes you hangbang, resistance is futile. Chris Cornell is gay. Rage got Grammies. Chris Cornell is gay. The magazine Rolling Stone put all of orginal Rage Albums on their list of the 500 best albums ever. Chris Cornell is gay.

I think Audioslave sounds better, and I couldn't really care less what sort of politics a band has as long as they sound good (maybe I'd make an exception if they were advocating terrorism or something, but that's unlikely). I DON'T HAVE TO JUSTIFY MY BELIEFS TO YOU! :D

Rage, definatly rage. I can't really listen to Audioslave for more then 10 minuates without haveing to go do something else.

I'll say! Puts that dude from that other post to shame! I mean, it's coherent. It's got no nonsense. It's logical.Well, I think you're wrong. Because because. In fact, I feel so strongly about this issue that I will try to legislate my beliefs and I will make it illegal for you to say anything other than "Audioslave is a good band" or the like.

Both of those bands suck. What are you, like 13? You need some Black Flag, Minor Threat, and Dead Kennedys.

I also suggest the Bee Gees.

Nah, just kidding.

Note I like *some* of Audioslave's songs (Be Yourself, Doesn't Remind Me, I am the Highway, etc), but RATM is just not my thing at all. Just the sound turns me off them, exactly like AC/DC does, exactly like a lot of 80's artist's sound does...

Rage Against the Machine. Simply the best band in the f%&#ing universe! Oh yeah! Besides having the legit political statements that are lost these days among the songs about stupid personal problems, they also ROCK YOUR SOCKS! lol. They have the craziest guitar skills and a definate style that is signiture to to them. Zack has a very distinct voice and I can recognize a RATM song anywhere, he's got the most awesome way of getting the point across. Plus I belive that the matters shown through their music are things that can't be ignored. Rage wins over Audioslave any day, but I respect other oppinions... RAGE IS BETTER!!!

If so, i'm tired of having an unbiased opinion and want to surrender to yours, as long as there's a benefit of numbers in my favour.

Rage Against the Machine were one of the best bands of the 90's.

By comparison, Audioslave are pure, unadultered cock rock.

Hmm. I'm getting deja vu. :D

This isn't a question, because nobody in their right mind could possibly call the whiny ball-less rock that Audioslave churns out to be anywhere near the quality of the work that RATM was putting out at their peak, or even their not-peak.

The same goes for Soundgarden.

Two great bands, fused together to form the worlds largest pile of crap. :(

I have to vote for RATM.
I bought the first Audioslave album hoping for soem of RATMs energy and ended up with soem middle of the road foo fighters style radio freindly boring rock. But then again RATM were one of mmy gateway bands that lead me to the "heavier" stuff.
Oh and before anyone complains about the foo fighters mention i stand by it as a good example of the sort of dull rock that clutters up the festivals and the charts, ie the stuff my little sister listens to. If thats what you like thats cool its just not me, i need more energy and drive in my music.

The Foo's first album was brilliant for energy and drive, the rest is meh.

"I am the highway" has got to be the worst whiney repetitious pile of elephant dung ever. If the singer is pouring his soul out when singing that song, he needs to have some pollution laws legislated against him.

I have to listen to Judas Priests "Turbo Lover" to counter the ill effects of that emo downer.

He's a good singer when he wants to be, particularly with Soundgarden's early songs. It's just the whiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiining on some of the others that gets me.

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, IS the best band ever. Zack is awesome... well all of them were. I cant be bothered to even listen the audioslave, it destroys the RATM spirit. I loved there energy ("F*ck you I wont do what you tell me!!") and there songs had thought put into them concerning the social issues of the world (unlike todays emo crap).

P.S. I dont think Zack would agree with you using "gay" as an insult being extreme left and all.

ZOMG BIGOT!!!1SHIFT!ELEVENTYONE!!!

Before Audioslave released their 2nd album i'd say i liked Audioslave more but the second one (judging by singles *Shudders*) is a let down.

But in sayong that i found much of Rage against the machines work to be too hip hoppy(Yeah i said it!!!!) but their last or one of their last albums was pure genius IMO.

In saying that i havent listened to more than one of either bands albums.
