This is a general survey of the dialects of English used by posters on NS. There will be 4 separate polls - 1 for the British Isles, 1 for North America, 1 for other native speakers, and 1 for non-native speakers. Please hold off until I've posted the appropriate poll - you'll look foolish complaining that I haven't included you dialect, when it's on another thread.

I know there're more. Maybe the famed "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie" call will get the ausiies in here. Don't know what might get the Kiwis. Free sheep?

Why is it "North American"? should the poll not be "USA" and "Former Empire"?
Why is there a Vote for SA and one for the rest of Africa, would it not be better to divide it between Southern and Eastern and West Africa? (North Africa wouldn't really need in this poll)

Because, as was the case with the three other polls, there are only 10 options, and other major Commonwealth dialects had to go on. If I could have done a poll with every possible dialect, instead of putting minor ones under "other", I would have. But would anyone really like to see a poll on a thread with about 100-300 options?
