What kind of router do you have. It should say on the top or front.

After the 2.4GHz it should say A, B or G. That is what is important here. If it says B or G it will work if A, you need to look for a different card.

Internet Card and Networking Card are the same thing.

If you can spend the extra money I get this. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833127118)

Like he said, it'll work best with a wireless B or G standard.

Network cards allow one to access a network, the internet is a network. The important factors are speed and wireless standard.

Probably. I cannot remember how to figure out if you have an empty PCI slot on Windows anymore. I think you Right Click My Computer-->Properties-->Hardware-->Device Manager, but I cannot remember were from there. I think on the left there will be a menu that says PCI and you can expand that to see what you have in your PCI slot. Hold on and I'll go to Winodws to find out.

Windows NT/2000/XP or Various Linuxes.

Read the manual first. Some require you to install the drivers before you install it, some after. Either way, hook your computer up to the net wit a wire and download the newest drivers off the companies website.
