Don't you hate parties like this?

Don't you hate it when you go to a party and you know virtually nobody there?

That's what I just suffered. I went to my friend's birthday party. She was having it in a bar. With loud music blaring in the background, I find it hard to get conversation going with strangers. I was also tired, having been up since 07:30am.

Worst party ever. (well not quite, but it was disappointing)

Well, there are worse parties (and you invoked this by using the gun-smiley on the OP!)

clubs and bars suck, but drinking at someone's place with a few friends is good ;)

Yeah dammit. I should have used alcohol. But it was a rather sophisticated bar, and I'm a habitually stingy guy, so I didn't buy anything.

Yeah that's my idea of a really good time.

Not at all. I have trained myself to make friends quickly and easily by becoming truly interested in other people. :)

I usually have not much problem with doing this, but it's harder when there's loud music blaring.

I hate when that happens, my face gets red and I get bored and start thinking alot. I hate thinking, so I start drinking. Drinking leads to smoking, smoking leads to me not needing friends to entertain me.

I sat at a party all night thinking to myself and I was having more fun than the guy who did a beer bong with the funnel in the kitchen and the end of the tube on his lips in the basement did.

The best parties are the ones at home where you just sit down with people you know and play the Would You Like To Buy A Duck game.

It goes something like this.

Everyone is sitting in a circle.

Person 1: -to person 2- Would you like to buy a duck?
Person 2: A what?
1: A duck.
2: Does it quack?
1: -insert random yes/no answer-
2: Oh. OK! -turns to person 3- -repeat-

etc... etc...

Most of the parties I go to are held in bars and clubs. It’s better than pissing off the neighbours for playing your music too loud and no clean up! It’s good to find a quieter area of the bar to talk, if they have performers, because otherwise it can be too loud. Besides if you’re in a bar or club and the people your with just aren’t doing it for you, there is a whole room full of other people.

Nah, they're the best kind. No one expects anything of you so you can just go chat to people without any pressure.

Granted though, the loud music is shite caus it makes getting to know people a little harder... but thats where sign and body language come in, which makes it a hell of a lot mroe interesting in some cases... :D
