Something uplifting and wise and beautiful.

My youngest daughter just sent me this link in the mail. Perhaps because I've been kind of down lately, it hit a responsive chord with me. By no means am I "religious," but I do know enough to know that I don't know much.

Take a look at this Interview With God (http://www.theinterviewwithgod.com/) and let us know what you really think, not what you might like others to believe you think.

And I really hate to say this, but please ... if you don't have anything positive to contribute, do try to restrain yourself from posting negativity. Thanks. I appreciate it. :fluffle:

The landscapes are beautiful, and the words, though a little too idealistic, are noble. It's a shame it was spoilt by being portrayed as necessarily religious.

God has apparently learned to work computer graphics.

Also: isn't putting words into God's mouth apostatsy? (or is this the charismatic-speaking-in-tongues version of God's presence?)

That was something of a softball interview. I'd like to see Paxman take him on.

I did enjoy the scenery though. The world can be very beautiful at times.

I could have done without the "God" part, but otherwise it was nice. And some of the pictures were beautiful. :)

By no means am I "religious":

Nice. But, for all the talk about people, there were none in the images. I wonder why?

Amazing pictures, inspiring (and not necessarily religious) words, the only problem is the irritating music...

And then I found the "music off" button. Divine guidance?

It's corny.

There are plenty of good ways to present wisdom, but corniness isn't one of them, isn't effective; not for me, at least.

Very pretty pictures, the aphorisms weren't bad... the continued references to God mucked the whole thing up, and the music was darned annoying.

Thank you, Eutrusca - that was beautiful and did indeed hit a responsive chord.
I really needed that today. http://www.studip.uni-goettingen.de/pictures/smile/love.gif

How can an omniscient being be surprised?

This basically shows why the notion of "God" is nonsense.

nice, i like the 'gods' advice as a parent to humans. pretty pictures too. still, i think ns general would be a much duller place if everyone took on bored the 'realise everyone looks at the same thing differently' bit.
