Best anti-drinking and driving ad ever.
I don’t know how old this is, but I’m posting it because I think it gets it’s message across more effectively than any other such ad I’ve seen, ever.
Just watch the video. Don't read the text.

Agreed, that was mighty impacting.
It was really an amazing coincidence that happened.

Upon further inspection, you may be correct. I can't see how you could set something like that up. I'm going to see what I can find.

What about the people in the background? The ones you could hardly see. They didn't seem to be at all rushed or concerned, even when the guy said to call 911.

They were all drunk, obviously.

Why did the camera turn to the street if it wasn't set up?

set up or not, it is a powerful piece of cinematography that conveys the message well.

Has anybody seen that one where to guys are in a pub trying to pull when a girl starts looking at one of them, then when she walks up to them you see a look of terror in her face and the sound of braking tyres pints going every were and then she falls to the ground and hits her head hard on the floor.
last time I saw that was Christmas.

trying to pull means trying to get a girl or guy to go out with you...when you go out looking for someone to go out with/sleep with etc..you are 'on the pull'
I am just going to look for that ad with the girl in the bar.

"pull" = "shag"Ah, thank you. Fortunately, I've seen the Austin Powers movies, so I know what that means. :)

The ones over christmas always hit hard as well. Basically footage of winter car crashes, with blood all over the snow. To the tune of Jingle Bells.

That is a very good one. The one thing about it is the beginning crash. It shows the guy looking away from the road opposed to swerving. That just makes me think of negilence and not drunk driving (this was before the rest of the video played)

to all those people that think that was not set up, the gene pool would be much better if it was you that got hit.

Good ad, but looks really fake and unconvincing. Is this actually shown on TV?
That's good.
But this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCHfCvcMOeg&search=drink%20and%20drive) brings a tear to my eye every time. It's one of the NI anti-drink driving ads. Shocking. And very, very sad.

Mmmm, I don't think it works. The crash is far too spectactular.

Ah come on, imagine that coming on TV for the first time in the middle of a happy programme about gardening or something.

Works well, especially in the way the woman's body is mangled.
>.> Childrens shows.
Nah, they only showed it in the evening. Don't know why, kids see worse in films.
I think the music works really well with it.
