If you don't have a CD-burner, then you can't. If you do, put it in there and do it like you would do it like a floppy.

No. You need a CD-R or a CD-RW.

Just use a floppy ffs.

Take your entire computer to the shop and pay them to do it for you.

First you need a live chicken, a bag, the droppings from a male goat and a lock of hair from your true love's face.

That sounds like my recipe for Chickem Surprise Stew...only I add garlic too.

Take your espresso out of the cup holder and place a blank CD-R where the cup was.

Press the "Close" button on your cup holder.

If Windoze says "Open writable CD" then drag the word document into the now open folder and press "write file(s) to CD"

If not, you either don't have a CDR/CDRW/DVDR or you are running an even lamer version of windows than XP and need to use somthing like NERO or ROXIO - or better yet, buy a real PC. :p

Umm...no. It doesn't work like that. You have to have a CD burner and a recording program, which generally comes with the computer if it has a CD burner when you buy it.

Forget putting it on a CD.

You'd have to burn it; you couldn't save it directly onto it.

There is a better way, and that way is with USB keys. I use one; it uses flash memory so it reads almost instantly and it has a huge data capacity for a small storage device. It's better than a CD and a floppy because you can delete/modify the files on it and it can hold all your data easil (including those huge PPT files).

Asking how to burn a CD is a question for only the 'techies'? What is this 1994?

What distro?

And if you say something Red Hat based, I am going to knife you in the face, with a knife.:D

Apple was great until they switched to Intel processors :D
With perfect timing too. IBM recently anounced it was going to start producing chips that opperated between 5 and 7 GHz. Good thing they got outta that mess.

I like OS X alright. It is the unfexable hardware I don't. If I want to buy a smaller HDD I should be able too (provided they do make a HDD that size).

Precisely. I have found usinga spork is much too ineffective as a tool to be knifing people with.
