Is it just me, or is it weird that a community or two of people has been built around Vault (http://www.vaultkicks.org/index.php), a so-called 'hybrid' energy drink/soda. This is a community also steeped heavily in "Saving Surge," an apparently EXTREMELY similar drink to Vault cancelled in 2002. Both drinks are from the Coca-Cola company.

First, the only difference that I've found between a soda and an energy drink is the shitloads of caffeine (and taurine, whatever that is) in Monster and Red Bull, as opposed to the CUP of sugar in a regular can of coke. They're both still caffeinated, carbonated, and sugary. How can you have a hybrid? You're only halfway towards totally cracking you out, instead of all the way?

Second-- How could people GATHER to talk about a SODA? What interest does that hold? What kind of conversations do you have? How are you joined together by such a thing?
"Hey."
"Hey."
"You hear they remade Surge?"
"No shit?"
"Yeah, but now it's 'Vault.'"
"Huh."
'Yeah."
"Well, I'll try it sometime."
"Okay."

Well, I must admit, they do also have 'Vault Zero,' the diet version. Okay. That adds.. what.. 30 more seconds? But there are two websites with links to WAY too many people obsessing about this 'hybrid citrus beverage.'
It's just kinda... weird. o.-

Surge tasted better. Vault tastes like sierra mist with some orange.
