Yeah Elton John is great. He has made some crap, but for the most part it's good. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (the album) just rules.

He's awesome. Gay or not...it doesn't matter your sexual preference when you don't put it in the work. Though he's got some class.

These are the people whose opinions you should ignore. And I agree, Sir Elton is a first-rate musician. He is a first-rate humanitarian as well.
I love his rendition of Show Must Go On by Queen. And any rendition he does of Disney songs.

with the exception of that early 90s disney swill, Elton John is damn good music
I'm not big on pop music at all, but I've never actually heard his stuff and can't say whether it's any good. However, I heard that he was really snobby.
