I remember a story in the paper where a woman had to remove model Pigs in her window because passing Muslim school children and there parents found them it offensive.

Its a crazy world!

In Kendall Park NJ there was a house decorated with bowling balls. The neighbors found a loophole that forced the homeowner to remove the balls, so now the house is decorated with dozens of rocking horses.

Precisely what was the loophole? I can't imagine there was a law anywhere saying 'No houses shall be decorated with bowling balls'. Though it is America.

On the subject of the other story, I have no sympathy for the woman. So she doesn't want to pay tax because she doesn't get anything from it? I take it she never leaves her house then. Miserable old git.

What the hell?

Anyway, here's a Gartenzwerg that the old lady should indeed put on her front porch:

Well, they sent a guy over who asked to buy one of the bowling balls. The homeowner let him take one. Now instead of unusual decorations, the bowling ball display was a commercial facility and therefore not allowed in a residential area. So the homeowner replaced them with rocking horses and refuses to sell or give any of them away.

Councils are always putting in stupid by-laws to make ratepayer's lives harder. :(
