Members of Congress retire all the time but these retirements are leading indicators of the terrifying direction of the out of control GOP . Rep. Sherwood Boehlert's announcement last week to call it quits can only increase the slide to national insanity.

That's kinda Red Arrow-ish, and the article itself has some interesting discusion in it. I kinda wish you hadn't been so yellow (in journalistic terms) with the title and had added some of your own comment.

"sane Republicans flee congress as Neocons war on Reality Accelerates"

You talking about "reality" is like Teddy Kennedy talking about The South Beach Diet! ROFLMAO!

See? This is the kind of response you're going to get, when the article actually says something interesting.

Granting you weren't likely to get something much better from this one, but you get my point.

Far too close to the first sentence, also. And now I know who you are, I renew my plea with you-reign it in, find the meat of this article, bring it out and discuss that, especially since this is an op-ed column, you have to bring your prespective to it or it's just a clay pigeon for pot shot. You become a clown, which is frustrating.

I left the first sentence alone because it was a good starting point but I had to add to the rest to keep it real

This guy appears to fit the Republican party as well as Jim Jeffords did. Or as well as Joe Lieberman fits in the Democratic party. I doubt it means much, though if the district elects a Democrat, it might help put an end to the Republican legislative excess.

Just because *they* didn't post so often *didn't* mean they *weren't* around in between, in some fashion or another.
