What is ignorance? Who is cursed by it? Is it a certain group, or just certain individuals?
The answer, my friends, is easy: Ignorance is the lack of knowledge brought about by the unwillingness to accept it. It is not known who is burdened with ignorance, but it is brought upon by one's self. It is not seen in everyone in a certain group of people, especially a political group. It is a random occurance, that might be in one person but not another.
But the most dangerous thing of all about ignorance is when anyone accuses someone of being ignorant for their political beliefs. Let's say I'm against abortion (Which I am actually) and someone says, "Well, you're ignorant because you are not allowing people the freedom to choice what they want to do, and that's totalitarianism."
Really now, am I such an idiotic person to know the issue and form an opinion on the matter, be it conservative or liberal? Isn't acknowleding the issue something that is completely the opposite of ignorance? Isn't formulating an opinion based on your ideals the opposite of ignorance. What's ignorant is when people, conservative or liberal, accuse others of being ignorant just because of their political views. If you are guility of that (Which, I used to do quite often, I shall be honest), how about you attempt to look at things the way that person does. See how they formulated their opinion, and think, "Is it that all idiotic to have a reasonable opinion on said issue?" I can tell you it will amaze you by how foolish you have been, be you a conservative or a liberal, to have accused someone of being ignorant just because of their political or moral views.
