I don't know if it's art, but I know what I like. :)

Been done before, with more people. Well, Geordies. At 4 in the morning in Newcastle.

Imagine how unpopular the guy who'd eaten beans for breakfast would've been.
Or worse, he'd eaten a dodgy taco a couple of hours before-hand

If you'd bothered to read both of those articles then you would have realised it was the same photographer. Whilst plagiarism is scorned upon we tend to be more lenient with auto-plagiarism.

edit: And if I'd bothered to read the articles fully then I could have told you that it'd also been done in New York, Barcelona, Belgium and Brazil. With the largest being in Barcelona with 7,000 volunteers.

I found this version of the photo on the BBC site

That they have such different colours and supposedly being the same photo is a bit odd. I wonder which was closer to the real colours. Probably the former. My version seems over exposed.

Well there you go. You'd think the guy would've come up with a new idea by now, though.

That this is always new for each of the cities he does this in warrants him being to repeat the idea. He seems to think this is as much about what the volunteers get out of it as it is about the finished product.

And with it happening in each new culture the art means something different. For instance it's probably easier for a Dutch woman to participate in such a project than it is for a Geordie woman. Probably.

Creativity kills kittens. Every time you are creative, God kills a kitten. Think of the kittens.

It's been a long time since we've had a good, amusing article from LG. Keep it up. http://assets.jolt.co.uk/forums/images/icons/icon14.gif

Auto-plagiarism is a funny concept. It can also be called reliance on a formula. I'm not sure if that is what Tunick is doing, but there is also the possibility that this is just his style. There are probably many differences between the works than meet a first glance.
