I was in gym talking to my freinds about whats good to eat when you have the munchies.. This conversation quickly went to how B&J kicks ass. Half Baked was the most popular between us, from there it went to "lets make our own ice cream!" so now we're thinking about it because I have an ice cream maker..

So far the ice cream is chocolate and has chunks of pot brownies in it, maybe some marshmellows..

Any ideas what else we should try making?

Gotta throw in some chocolate chips... whether you are following the letter of the law or making pot brownie ice cream, everything is made better by chocolate chips.....

Just kidding, try adding some peyote - but not too much.

All ice cream is stoner ice cream....sooo good when stoned...


Here's my dream, and I'll share it with you because we're close like that-

A private club, a resteruant. In the kitchen, professional chefs who also happen to be stoners. As I understand it, it would be harder to find ones that aren't, so that should be good. At the tables in the straw jar, joints. The menu doesn't have specific food items on it, but adjectives. Salty. Meaty. Chewy. Crunchy. Etc. You select some adjectives, the chefs make something that they think you'd dig based on them. Sort of Iron Chef-y, but more hippie.

My favorite stoney food that I can pull off myself is garlic chips.

Take a pizza skin, spread some cannibutter on it, garlic powder or actual garlic (just not garlic salt, that makes it nasty), some cheese of your choice and bake it until the cheese is melted and crust is brown. Cut into squares and enjoy.

Everything else I have to buy because I got no culinary skills...

For the ice cream, swirls rule. Carmel, marshmellow, whatever. I love swirls. And things covered in chocolate. Chocolate covered espresso beans in ice cream might actually rock...

My favorite B&J: Phish Food. Chocolate Ice cream w/ little chocolate fish and marshmallow swirls.

Quality. My favorite of theres was Wavy Gravy, but I never see that anymore.

My idea won't do much for the flavor of your ice cream but adding shroom pieces to it will sure kick up the stoner factor!!!

but for this i say you need chocolate, toffe swirls, brownie pices, marshmallow toppings, chocolate sauce, a layer of mint icecream at the bottom, and chocolate chunks throughout (and maybe some miniature cookies too...)
mmmmm... if that existed i'd have to take up toking again just for the ice creamy goodness :p



edit: my old favourite stoner munch was either the classic cerial-out-of-the-box (which would go all soggy in ice cream :(), or pizza... (which would taste horrible in ice cream!)
though i did just have a great idea... what about eating cerial with ice cream instead of milk! :D

I'll try and make you a stoner again! And cereal with ice cream? BRILLIANT! (sp?)

My favorite munchies have to be B&J (they just came out with a new flavor called Napolean Dynomite that has Cherry Garcia and chocolate brownie stuff side by side), followed by granola bars, then hmm... cant remember..

Try adding some baked cinnamon bananas to your ice cream, esp. when they are still hot. Also, chocolate powder, shortbread and crushed M&Ms (or something similar) enhance the yummy factor quite a lot.

Or, in case you´re not going chocolate, but rather fruity ice cream, never forget to add those jelly babies. And marshmallows, of course. Finish with some yogurthy sauce, and top it off with frozen strawberries.

I miss the potheads thread we used to have. Oh well.

Ice cream is always best if you can crumble cookies on it and cover it with chocolate/maple/golden syrup (sometimes all three). Especially good with some melted marshmallows.

I have some half baked in my freezer now (I eat it after the kids are in bed)

have you tried B&J's "Everything but the..." it's super great!

oh and when I had my ice cream maker we used to make butterfinger, oreo, chocolate chip cookie dough, reese cup, m&m, marshmallow, banana ice cream. We called it "the cavity maker" LOL.

Put sprinkles on it!!!
