Alright. So I'm once again venturing to the PRC (Peoples Republic of Cambridge, the town next to Boston) to see Rocky Horror Picture Show.

You have to love these performances...the cast acting it out infront of the screen, screaming random stuff the entire time, and "popping the cherry".

So has anyone else gone? Enjoyed it? hated it? favorite AP thing?

my favorite has to be the timewarp part.
oh, and "Never worry, never fear, frank the wonderfuck is here. Short and fat, long and thin, vasoline will get it in. 2, 4, 6, 8, frankies fucks are always great! Frankie, frankie, yay frankie!" or "coming" "so's brad!"

How fitting - just a few minutes ago I stumbled upon this post by Grave_Idle in the Voices-Thread:

Can't you just hear Frank'n'Furter say it? :p

I've never seen it performed live, sadly. The closest I got was in an open air movie theater where they screen RHP each year, and people go there all dressed up, and throw rice for the wedding, and rolls of toilet paper when what's-his-name is "born"/unwrapped.

Man, I should really watch it again. Wait, I think I have an age-old video tape lying around somewhere - I could go watch it now! Yay!

The parts I love best (again, I only know the movie) are Susan Sarandon singing "I wanna be dirty" with the two maids echoing the chorus; the time warp; and Frankie's sad song in the end. Oh, and Meat Loaf. Gotta love Meat Loaf.

I also never figured out if the professor was supposed to have a German or a Scottish accent. :p

Yeah, well, I can see how that wouldn't play so well here. :p

haha...yeah, perhaps...but that is the great thing about RHPS...I can go to a showing in Boston, and it will be totally different from NYC or Chicago or LA or London. Even every show is different. There are those "set" lines, but after the terry schiavo thing, the skeleton in timewarp was called terry instead of kate moss. And in "theres a light", where lightning strikes the cross looking thing, the line was changed from "God is dead" to "John Paul is dead" right after his death
