(http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=473303 where is the manifesto? )

i vote no.

Could you drop it? The same rules applied to party entry into this election as in the other two elections. There was a link to the first election thread, which, I believe, clearly states the rules. Your party had an incomplete manifesto, which is a breach of these rules, and therefore your party was not admitted to the election.

I say we declare ALL NS General Elections to be null and void!

Parliament never does anything anyway! It has no real power!

NS General is rightfully an Anarchy! Or, if you prefer, an Anarcho-Modocracy.

Why? It's a silly make believe election, and ju7st as any real electionb i9t shouyld be subject to a minor parties protest.

As far as I understand it, the rule was that a party needed at least two members, nothing more.

Eitherway, here you go:

Well, you didn't read the rules properly then. Arridia has posted in the election thread quoting from the rules. Read them. Properly. Then you might understand why the Birthday Party wasn't admitted.

Oh pooh-pooh. Blah blah blah, the rules, blah blah blah, you suck, blah blah blah.

I thought you were head of the Emphatically Silly Party?

But you sound just like some crusty old GOP or Democrat senator droning on about his bowels, which are acting up today.

Sounds like the Anarchists aren't the only ones willing to sell their principles out in exchange for a bit of power in Ariddia's pseudo-election!

no, but you are the only one with a real reason or motivation to oppose it. other people either probably wouldn't care or are opposing it for reasons that are silly or just a bit of fun ("i like cake", anyone?)

if we are taking it too seriously, then surely opposing those taking part in it is taking it just as seriously? if not more.

if it is something you feel to be pointless, then why try to ruin it for those taking part?

you had your opportunity to take part properly, following the same rules as everyone else. you missed that opportunity. to now try and ruin or belittle it for those enjoying taking part is amazingly petty and rather sad. we could just ignore this, really, as the entire thing is fantasy anyway... the result of this poll makes as much difference to the Parliament as the parliament itself makes to General or real life. however a fictional thing such as this requires that those taking part respect it and play by the rules as to not spoil it for the others who do want to take part properly. which you are not doing. what you are doing here is similar to RP godmodding in my eyes.

anyway, i'll go with IV Stalin and just say, please quit it. apart from anything else, what will this sad little cry for attention actually achieve?

Nope. I have a number of reasons for doing this.

If you want to RP (and that's what ball of this is) excluding my party, which had strong grassroots support, on dubious grounds, you might as well deal with the RPed fall out. If you can't deal with a silly response to your own sillyness, then you most certainly deserve a pie in the face.

Deck- A platform extending horizontally from one side of a ship to the other.
Lare- To feed or fatten fatten.

So, what good will it do to deck-feed the 3rd NS General Election?

Well, clearly if they're not going to change their corrupt ways, the Parliament requires sterner measures... for the good of NS General.

why did you not start up your own opposition thread before this? were you just respectfully ignoring the election? thats really what i meant about respecting the thing - its not exactly hard to ignore all this if you disagree with it, especially as it only happens once every few months and has no real effects on this forum or real life. from that, why not just let people have their fun?

Buahahaha! Yes, like having a Moles and Burrowing Rodents party. That's some hella respect right there. And the ESP. Yesh, how political - a party for 2 year olds.
well i don't particularly agree with MORBA or the ESP being there, but at least they supplied full manifestos and have listed supporters... they played by the rules, at least.
there was enough controvesy in the first election about whether they should be allowed. i forget why they were - you'll have to take that issue up with Arridia.

What's sadder, the sad man or the sad man who has to point out how sad the sad man is?
frankly, i don't care. think i'm sad if you like, but i know its really quite petty to try and ruin a game for other people because you've not been allowed to play yourself.
i'm sure dallista will come out and say there are some real reasons behind this now anyway

Well, maybe I should. Because my reasoned posts in the 'actual' threads were just ignored.

why not just let people have their fun?

Why not, indeed? Why do you have to come here as some sort of enforcer of the System, to mock and degrade anyone who doesn't think Parliament should be unilaterally disbanded whenever Ariddia wants to strengthen his party? Isn't that a little too much power and "fun" for one person? Yes it is!

well i don't particularly agree with MORBA or the ESP being there, but at least they supplied full manifestos and have listed supporters... they played by the rules, at least.

What good are rules when not all MPs are treated equal? I was an MP in Parliament - except now I'm not, cuz Ariddia decided to elect a NEW Parliament. Funny that, he gets special powers!

In short the rules are nothing but ways to unequally concentrate the fun in the hands of the upper 1%!

there was enough controvesy in the first election about whether they should be allowed. i forget why they were - you'll have to take that issue up with Arridia.

They were allowed essentially cuz no one had the balls to, how you say, "respect" the Parliament concept.

frankly, i don't care. think i'm sad if you like

You're actually the one who brought up the "sad" bit first, mister mudslinger.
