What's on your walls?

I put up a few of my pictures the other day, so I was wondering... what's on you walls? Posters? Pictures? Photos? Mounted animal heads? The Cuckoo clock collection?

Here are my pictures:

http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b24/cabrawest/Pyramide.jpg
That's above my bed (no, it's straight, it's the angle of the camera to makes it seem slightly crooked)

"What's on your walls?"

Uh ... two Ansel Adams prints of the Grand Tetons, a plaque with a photo of an eagle and the definition of "Courage," a framed map displaying American ground forces in South Vietnam at the height of the war, a framed copy of a page from an illuminated manuscript of I Corinthians 13, a framed copy of the US Constitution, a framed print of words and phrases from the Vietnam war, a photo of my entire family, my military retirement certificate, and a copy of the last photo ever taken of me in uniform.

How's that? :)

Tons of Amnesty International posters, cards, clippings, etc.
Johnny Cash pull-out poster from American III: Solitary Man
A Questionable Content poster
An Elisha Cuthbert poster
A bunch of PostSecret cards I printed off
The BBC advert page from the Telegraph, the day after Greg Dyke resigned, with a Polish coin sellotaped to it (don't ask)

I have too many walls.........like a whole house full........

On my living room walls, there are these weird garden tile thingys (http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c389/Smunkee/gardentile.jpg) that I thought matched my couch (http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c389/Smunkee/couch.jpg) (I have heard from people, mostly men, that they don't, but I still like them so I am not taking them down) and then on another wall are pics of my kids.

On one wall in my office is a map of the US (http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c389/Smunkee/USmap.jpg), on another is my kid's homeschool wall, (http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c389/Smunkee/homeschoolwall.jpg) it changes a lot but right now it's just got the bare necessity since we just got done painting the room green. I have to add the rest this weekend.

the rest of my walls are pretty bare since we are going to paint, but there is a painting (http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c389/Smunkee/painting.jpg) in my entryway.....it's kinda weird though. I got it for free from someone who didn't want it anymore.

Windows and doors are in the walls. One small cabinet above my bed contains martini glasses. A larger cabinet has, let me see, random crap, pappers, and manuals of somekind. Oh, Christmas presents and money! Oh, wait, Finnish marks, damn. Bookshelf with clothes and shoes on it comes after. Hey, I got a library card. A dresser comes next, where I keep my suitcases and random bags on top of, and as I observe the drawers there is clothes. Closet thing comes next, its not really a closet, but a cainet. Surprisingly, somewhat formal clothes are here. Bare wood is visible for about 50 cm, and then a bookshelf. This time, with books and magazines on it. A rug covers the wall next, and then we're back to the cabinet above my dresser. There is no room for anything on the walls in my room. Even if there was, I'd probably would not put anything up. I like bare walls. Paint prefered, with a nice color scheme.

I have lived in my current bedroom for 17 years. Its walls are entirely covered with stuff. Seriously, there's hardly a few square inches of wall visible anywhere. Mostly, there are my paintings, photographs, some postcards and newspaper articles. I have a Pink Floyd poster and a Paul Gauguin poster, though that is currently covered by one of my own large paintings. I recently moved my Pink Floyd poster to my window blind to make needed space for more stuff on my wall.

I also have three bookshelves screwed to the walls.

I like your garden wall tiles and I'm a man.

Well, apparently nothing, unless you bring out the UV lamp.

..
Got a poster of "Big Brother" on my ceiling, so every time i wake up i see the not-so-pearly whites of his eyes bearing down on me.
In the living room i have a support-wall size wallpaper of a room in someone else's house. One of the other walls has an enlarged photo of Norman Rockwell rolling a small child for lunch $.
One of the other walls is covered entirely with aluminum foil, for several reasons i probably shouldn't go into here, but i'll say it's to re-radiate heat from my stove. And the other wall has a bunch of little screw-in pseudo-rocks that i use to scale the wall on some of my more energetic days.

Vintage racing victory posters that manufacturers used to put out after winning big races like the 24 Hours of Le Mans or the Mille Miglia.

Here's what I could find in my room that's online:
This map of Paris and her monuments, which actually is wrapping paper but apparently is widely popular as a piece of art, and if you've ever seen it you'd know why (image poor, just a small piece of the whole thing):
http://www.durwinrice.com/Papers/mapofparis.jpg

This Poster from MOMA(same note as above):
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/0870700049/ref=dp_image_0/002-9483411-7938459?%5Fencoding=UTF8&n=283155&s=books

This Calander (http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?endeca=1&isbn=0760763526&itm=3)
A reproduction of a vintage poster from United Airlines advertising New England

A set of small architectual drawings in black and white

3 postcards from Chincoteague, VA, a greek restaurant and a Van Gogh exhibit from the Met.
Not too bad for a 14 year-old. Yes, it's a lot, but I love everything I have and feel it accurately represents my eclectic and international tastes.
BTW, GREAT topic!

BTW, one of my favorite things at home outside my room is a beautiful reproduction of a famous Chinese scroll a friend/employee of my mom's parents brought in Beijing the last time they were in their native China. It's most famous scene (wich they also brought a blow-up of) is this one:

OK, I posted earlier in this thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10590707&postcount=65) from my office, now I'm home in the best room of the house so here are the additions to what I have in my office collection of autographs. Just as a note, when I frame a movie star autograph, I do my best to frame the autographed photo with a minature version of the movie poster for the movie the signed photo is taken from. So, anyway, here is the home area:
1. Peter Sellers from Doctor Strangelove
2. Janet Leight from Psycho
3. William Shatner & Leonard Nimoy (one photo) from the 1st Star Trek movie
4. Malcolm McDowel from A Clockwork Orange
5. Jane Fonda from Barbarella
6. Lauren Bacall from Sex and the Single Girl
7. Bill Clinton on an Arkansas Traveler Certificate to my dad
8. JFK on a letter to my grandfather
9. LBJ on a letter to my grandfather
10. Will Eisner on a tribute to Superman
11. Stan Lee on a seriocell (sp?) from the Spiderman cartoon series
12. Federal District Court Judge Susan Webber Wright (Judge in the Bill Clinton/Paula Jones/Monica Lewinsky case) on a letter to me
13. Paula Jones on a business card to me (I met her at a Chuckee Cheese)
14. Jimmy Stewart (not sure if from a film or just a publicity photo)
15. Al Gore on the cover of the Time Magazine with Clinton's photo on it a few days after his 1992 election.

I have several others that are not framed or are in the books they wrote that are not on the wall in my office or at home as well.

Oh, yeah, I also have on the wall in the cool room of the house a piece of computer art consisting of a burnt Motherboard with some RAM chips, a heat sink and some fans, a fan grille, a few cables and a damaged CPU all arranged in a "shadow box" hanging on the wall.

Posters (framed): The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers (my favorite, featuring Frodo), The Return of the King; Dali's "Swans Reflecting Elephants," and "Woman with Head of Roses;" The Dark Crystal.

Posters (unframed): Donnie Darko on the back of my door, and Picasso's "Guernica" above a shelf in my (doorless) closet.

Random other things: a Donnie Darko Special Edition DVD case (metal) that I nailed to the wall; an "Absinthe Original" flask that sits on a satellite speaker; an absinthe bong that sits on another satellite speaker, a small "La Bleue Clandestine" (absinthe) poster, my "Friend's of Laphroaig" lease; plastic bags from the Las Vegas "Star Trek: The Experience" shop, which I have taped over one end of the flourescent light above my desk; and atop that light, a row of empty bottles representing some of my favorite liquors; also a full bottle of Romulan Ale.

A "Beer = " poster
"Turn your hamster into a fighting machine" printout

There was an Iron Maiden poster and a Sin City one too, but the Sin City one got destroyed in a fire extinguisher fight and the Maiden one refused to stay on the wall.

A psychedelic poster and a Starsky&Hutch poster;
10,000 bookshelves (or so it seems!);
a huge 2mX1.5m Jackie Brown cardboard sign I traded in for a pound of coffee at my local video store;
a 2mX1.5m Crimson Fist Space Marine in 2 parts that my sis aquired for me (I wanted it to eventually replace Jackie but I haven't figured out how to put that two-pieced cardboard marine onto the wall);
an East-Prussian flag;
a small Confederate flag;
colored lightbulbs on a chain (those tiny ones for Christmas);
a U-Boat badge;
a print-out of my favorite quote by Cmdr. Peter Quincy Taggart, NSEA Protector: "Never give up. Never surrender.";
a gazillion postcards sent to me by friends and family from all those places I can't afford to go;
and last but not least some spiderwebs in the corners (and no, I will not eat the spiders - they eat all the other bugs that get into my room through the bad balcony door and I really thank those eight-legged friends for doing so!). All in all, nothing special - home, sweet home. Or how I like to say: My cell is my bunker.

No, it's a painting in progress. It has parts made from blue foam. It's actually about 140x60cm, but that's net easy to tell from the small picture.

In the living room, where I’m typing this, there’s a map of Vancouver Island by the desk. I have a couple really nicely framed papyrus paintings, with gold paint, done in ancient Egyptian style. My room mate has an aboriginal painting of a stylized frog totem that I’m not keen on, but sacrifices must be made for coexistence…damn ugly frog painting I might add…

My bedroom is a mix of Japanese scrolls and antiquity prints. A lot of people have a hard time getting their head around how serene my decorating style is. I just don't think they get me.
